Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

I was scheduled to sail NCL Prima August 2022 but cruise was cancelled because of supply chain issues. I was given a 25% off coupon towards my next cruise. I had not gone anywhere since 2019 and decided on a.second Alaskan cruise. It was a different journey than my first cruise. I was very eager to cruise and decided to stick closer to the USA because COVID was still such an ...

Check in was 5 star, I’ll give it that. Though we ran into loads of people who didn’t get a test before they got there because of conflicting information. Luckily they had Covid testing right at check in for those people but it’s not cheap $ and takes awhile. So get a test within 72 hours. For us, we dropped our bags off and were in the buffet for lunch within 20 minutes. The food was ...

My father had always wanted to take a cruise to Alaska. So, I took my 79 year old elderly father on this NCL Bliss to Alaska. We were to leave from Seattle on the 10th, however, we along with the passengers who booked their whuttle with NCL got left in Seattle. We had to fly to Sitka to meet the ship and board as downliners. We were to have a package of internet-free, packages-2 free, and ...

Beautiful ship, incredible service and entertainment but boy, hang onto your wallet!

We are a couple who decided to finally cruise without now grown children to see Alaska. Like many people it was on our "bucket list". Norwegian seemed to make it enticing by making so many things "free", but the reality is the items that are free really only pay a small amount of the total cost of the meal or excursion, which can run into hundreds more than the 50$ you are given. The "free open ...

This was our second cruise on the NCL Bliss - We Love the ship. We enjoyed everything from meals in the main dining room, to specialty restaurants. Even enjoyed the wonderful choices at the buffet. The ship was clean, well taken care of. The crew assisted us with any questions we had. Our Great room steward took good care of us, left us extra towels. The only hiccup was Entertainment was a ...

Disappointing food, ports, embarkation, disembarkation, and customer service

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

This was my 8th cruise and second on NCL. From embarkation to disembarkation, the cruise was a disappointment. Embarkation: Prior to the cruise, we were told repeatedly that no test was required for vaccinated guests. However, the night before the cruise, NCL decided to require the testing - at OUR expense. When we got to the port, we had no idea that we would spend 3 1/2 hours in line waiting ...

Big ship, Big crowds!!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Overall: I chose this trip since my friends were already going, and as a single person the Bliss has solo cabins which avoids the dreaded single supplement. Since I'll be spending time with friends enjoying large quarters in the Haven it was a no brainer. I knew a floating city of 4,000 guests could be difficult; lines for embarcation, demarcation. meals, tours, you name it, you got it, lengthy ...

Candid review of the Bliss in Alaska from experienced cruiser

To qualify this review - I have approximately 300 total cruise nights between Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Viking, Disney, Celebrity and Norwegian. My family took a 7 day cruise Alaska cruise on Norwegian Bliss from Seattle, WA on September 3rd, 2022. Embarkation was the easiest (most efficient) process I have ever experienced. From time Uber dropped us off to walking on the ship was ...

This was a spur of the moment booking less than a month before sailing. Norwegian had a good deal and we chose the Bliss and the inside passage itinerary. Thus was our 6th big ship cruise and second on Norwegian. I had read several negative reviews on Cruise Critic about this ship/cruise, mainly about the stops and the embarkation/debarkation processes and was prepared for issues. Given our ...

What was good was good, what was bad was pretty bad

Recommended by our travel agent. Price point was good. Wanted to go to Alaska. First the good: The ship itself was clean and the room with a balcony was comfortable for two people. Extra storage under the bed was very handy. Raymund was our steward and did a good job. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was. The restaurants Taste and Savor were fine. Pretty limited and ...
