Overall: I chose this trip since my friends were already going, and as a single person the Bliss has solo cabins which avoids the dreaded single supplement. Since I'll be spending time with friends enjoying large quarters in the Haven it was a no brainer.

I knew a floating city of 4,000 guests could be difficult; lines for embarcation, demarcation. meals, tours, you name it, you got it, lengthy lines everywhere and waits for just about everything. So forget any idea of intimacy you may have imagined because there is none on the Bliss. It felt more like navigating NY's Times Square than a peaceful Alaskan cruise.

And maybe it's just me but the sing songy greetings from crew members can sound insincere and even worse annoying. I like to get a cup of coffee before being confronted with a fortissimo, out of tune song as a morning "greeting", guess I was expecting a more mature experience when booking the Bliss.

Cabin Review

I stayed in a solo cabin on the Epic so I knew what to expect on the Bliss and was satisfied with the room and more so with the service.

It's minimal, no refrigerator. Has a TV and another uniquely designed to act as a window, this helps avoid any claustrophobia you may have. Full sized bed is comfy, plenty of closet space too.

My cabin attendant offered VIP treatment and was friendly and conversational.
