We boarded the Magnifica the day that Venice flooded - the water was already calf-deep in the morning, very sad.
The boarding process was very smooth, and so was our departure.
Our interior cabin was always clean and well tended; make sure you bring tissues (kleenex) as they aren't provided. The TV only showed news, news, and the view from the bow of the ship. You want movies? You have to ...
We wanted to cruise to the Greek islands and chose MSC Magnifica. After the first night my daughter woke up with several bug bites. We moved to a second cabin were she managed to trap a bed bug and take it to customer service. Someone came to inspect the cabin and it must have been heavily infested as we were forced to move immediately although it was past midnight. The third cabin was below the ...
We had an absolutely amazing vacation on Magnifica
Was really nervous based on the mixed reviews but the cabin was spacious and well cleaned. The main dining room had good selection and great service. Didn’t use the buffet for meals but it was definitely adequate for an afternoon/late evening snack (pizza, pasta, deserts)
We met so many wonders people from around the world and spent most of ...
Despite my friends and work colleagues telling me to stear clear of this company, the Itinerary was the thing that I required...Venice and Greek Islands. I had booked a late flight back after the cruise so I could go on the Venice Excursion...All booked last year. The embarkation process was a nightmare with people pushing, shoving like animals. No organised lines. 4 hours to get from the ...
Thought we were getting a special deal but couldn't be further from the truth
Within minutes of embarking had been told we needed to upgrade even although we had already paid to upgrade. Basically we were stolen from by MSC .
The safety drill was very poor and was ignored by many. The staff who were in charge seemed very lax and poorly trained
Food was dire, miserable and tasteless and ...
This was our first, and last, cruise with MSC. Having been on MANY cruises from the US to many different ports including international ports, this was a great disappointment. The food was below our standards in dining room as well as buffets. Often times it was barely warm and the taste left a lot to be desired in comparison to Royal Caribbean or Celebrity Cruises. The entertainment was mostly a ...
My wife and I decided to cruise for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We chose MSC for the location. We were lucky to spend 2 days in Venice prior to departure which was amazing.
Firstly having read reviews I see a lot of negative reports on what appear to be unreasonable expectations of the staff. One reviewer using words like “our demands were not met” I didn’t realise it was a dictatorship !! ...
Food in the main dinning room was good some nights and bad others, lobster was available one night for an addition $24 and was very small. And salads are not offered as one of the courses.
Drink packages are very expensive, you need at least 19 drinks to break even.
Buffet for breakfast was limited, no omelets.
Nightly shows were only 1/2 hour long and limited to mostly the same ...
Extremely friendly service staff brilliant and in the dining room at night they were so friendly, and could not gave done enough for us there was particular lady in the dining room who met us and showed us to our ta le I nicknamed her smiler as she was always happy and smiling, the food was excellent, the ship very clean and staff lovely. This was my second msc cruise along with my wife and two boys (14,11) and it did not disappoint. Yes most people on the ship are european which i dont mind cause i am fluent in italian and spanish, yes many people smoke, yes people cut the lines but for an american if you can get passed this you will find that most people will go out of their way to help you or provide service to you! Probably ...
