Not my first cruise but it was my girlfriend’s first sailing. It was in the middle of COVID, so we had to do the 48 hour prior tests and then another test to get on the ship. At check-in, they took the luggage and bused us over to a hotel for mass COVID tests, it was efficient and easy. Once cleared, back on a bus to go thru the process of checking in, which went very well.

This was our first cruise on NCL. There were three other couples in our group. All of us were in the Haven which is the only way to go on a ship like this. Guests in the Haven have a private restaurant, a private pool, reserved seats at the main theater show and other amenities. For our cruise, there were only 1000 passengers on a ship with a 4100-passenger capacity. This was great, but I am sure ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to see Puerto Rico as well as the Lesser Antilles (Aruba, Curacao, St Lucia..).
With the mandatory vaccinations and COVID test required to board, it was the safest place to vacation in my view. The architecture of the ship is a little funky, lots of curves. Main issue is the lack of a promenade deck for viewing for walking laps. But it has a sports bar, ...
This cruise was a birthday celebration for me. We originally planned on heading to Puerto Rico on January 6. Based on reports here and elsewhere, we felt there was some possibility that the cruise would be canceled, so we opted to fly in a day later to give NCL one more day to cancel.
A week or so before we left, a wonderful couple we'd met on our September Getaway cruise let us know that ...
Mid-2021 as Covid was starting to get, what we thought to be under control, we booked a cruise on Norwegian for the end of December. Unfortunately, in early December, Omicron reared its ugly head and the more we heard, the more concerned we became. As a party of 4 vaccinated adults/senior citizens with immune compromised systems, we felt comfortable with the Norwegian vaccination policy before ...
I chose this cruise solely for the itinerary, because it started and stopped at all ports I had never been to: It left San Juan, then to ORANJESTAD, ARUBA. then to WILLEMSTAD, NETHERLAND ANTILLES; was scheduled to go to St Georges, Grenada, but this was the start of Omicron and even though all passengers had been tested negative for Covid-19 in San Juan before boarding, Grenada said all ...
This was our 4th NCL cruise, 2nd on Epic. We chose this and booked it barely 10 weeks before sailing (unlike us) because I was becoming a burned-out healthcare worker, and a week opened up for me. Another major factor was that it was home-ported in San Juan, and we'd had a great experience there 5 years ago as well. All the ports of call were new to us.

After months of being unable to cruise due to the moratorium, I was eager to resume sailing. I had booked one NCL cruise but that was canceled. I then booked NCL Epic`s sailing from Rome on 20 Nov 2022. There were several alterations to the cruise identified shortly before I boarded the ship (but subsequent to the cut-off date for canceling with no financial penalty). First, the production of ...
Our Princess TA from Rome was cancelled. The price and itinerary worked for us so we booked our first NCL cruise. We have been on 38 cruises, mostly Princess tho we have tried Cunard, Disney, MSC, Carnival
Bottom line? I would never take this ship if fully booked. Even at 40% capacity there were some long lines. I will give NCL a try again—and bought two Future cruise certificates. Also, ...
I waited to write this trying to be fair and take the Covid protocols into account but even without Covid this ship is like a mish/mash of other ships. Bits of this and that...you soon start feeling you've been on the ship before. Deck, two tiny pools and massive slides etc. for kids. Naturally Cagney's, La Bistro, La Cuchina, were at their best as always. O'Sheehans was the only place with ...
