We booked this cruise to try a mega ship- it did not disappoint! We never found it crowded....really. Getting on was a little hectic, but once we asked if Diamonds had a special line, we were able to skip a lot of people. We went to the Solarium for something to eat. Always found a chair on deck in the sun or shade.
We ate most dinners in the MDR, always found something really good to eat, ...
We choose this cruise because we had heard so many great things about the Oasis class ships on Royal Caribbean. Being that we live in Georgia, we decided to try out the Oasis once it came to Port Canaveral since it is an easy drive for us. There were 6 people traveling in our group. It was me, my husband, my 2 daughters (7 and 9), my mother-in-law and her sister.
Embarkation went smooth once ...
There is so much to do on the Oasis of the Seas. Once you get past the first few hours of the mass of humanity with people going in all directions trying to figure out where they are going and what they are doing.... it settles down. So, don't freak out because you are suddenly among more than 6,000 people!
Overall, the bigger RC ships have wonderful shows. However, Cats was most ...
We went with a group on this particular cruise and the staff and services available were wonderful to work with. Our whole group really enjoyed the trip and the off shore excursions that were offered. Many of our people did there own thing and enjoyed as well. The Aqua Show was amazing, an very entertaining enjoyed it greatly. Did not really enjoy the CATs.. but some did. The Room Attendant ...
we enjoy the ports of call and very much wanted to try this ship. we had an excellent criuse we even tried ziplining for the first time.we were introduced to my time dining and found it to fit our needs. would recommend this cruise and ship to all our friends. The food and the service was excellent.i was a little leery about going on a ship this large only having cruised on the Freedom class. we ...
Been on over 45 cruises - am diamond + on Royal. Had so many bad issues on this cruise. Windjammer was horrible. Always congested and lack of food on three different visits. Was traveling with four small children so very hard to find food/milk for them. BEWARE - your account balance/onboard credit may be different on inroom tv from what guest services records show. Don't know if it's a scam ...
We chose this cruise specifically for the Oasis experience.
Embarkation lines were long, but moved at a good pace and we were on the ship in less than 45 minutes.
The ship is absolutely stunning!
Our large interior stateroom was perfect; lots of little drawers and shelves that I found very convenient for unpacking for the week. The sitting area was a great bonus and really made the room ...
We had an excellent vacation. Both the embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. The ship had so much to offer for all of us. There were three pools, a pool for tiny tots, hot tubs, the Solarium if you didn`t want the sun, rock climbing, zip lining, surfing, ice skating, mini golfing, and incredible live shows.
The food was delicious and there were so many choices from the ...
I'm more of a fan of mid-sized ships (like RCCL Freedom class), but since I gained less weight than ever before, I may reverse this thinking. Big ships require more walking to get anywhere, so it was worth it. Oasis is definitely worth sailing if you've never experienced a BIG ship. How often can you stroll in the park, listening to violin music at night...in the middle of the ocean? It's huge, ...
Service was excellant.
Food was good. Only critique, not exactly RCFCL fault. Windjammer was like running a gauntlet much of the time. I guess the only time to vicit would be in off time hours. A large ship with lots of passengers can create a less than grand dining experience at times.
Found Our room attendant was really good as it has always been.
Labadee was well handled. one very sad ...
