We choose this cruise because we had heard so many great things about the Oasis class ships on Royal Caribbean. Being that we live in Georgia, we decided to try out the Oasis once it came to Port Canaveral since it is an easy drive for us. There were 6 people traveling in our group. It was me, my husband, my 2 daughters (7 and 9), my mother-in-law and her sister.

Embarkation went smooth once we parked. The traffic was crazy. We felt that the parking process was smoother when we sailed on Disney. Royal Carbbean is a nice option for the those that are tired or are priced-out of Disney, but we really felt that we missed the Disney touches. We stayed in room 8636 and my mother-in-law and her sister were in room 8640, which are both Jr Suites. We really liked the spaciousness of the rooms. The beds felt hard and the towels, linens, and furnishings were not as nice as Disney. I travel a lot for work and I felt that the Disney beds were as nice as any nice hotel. We made good use of our balcony during the early mornings and evenings. Our stateroom attendant was excellent. Overall, the service throughout the ship was good.

We ate in the main dining rooms most night and spent one night in Windjammer when we got in late from one of our excursions. We felt that the menu was boring compared to DCL. There was not as much variety on the MDR menus and very little seafood options. Also, the steak options were cheaper cuts of meat and you had to pay extra for cuts like filet mignon (basic menu option on DCL). Everything we had was tasty, just boring.
