I'm more of a fan of mid-sized ships (like RCCL Freedom class), but since I gained less weight than ever before, I may reverse this thinking. Big ships require more walking to get anywhere, so it was worth it. Oasis is definitely worth sailing if you've never experienced a BIG ship. How often can you stroll in the park, listening to violin music at night...in the middle of the ocean? It's huge, but there are ways to avoid the crowds, with a little exploring. The entertaining was above the average variety, & even though the "Cats" production wouldn't be my 1st choice, it was done well! The aqua & ice shows are WONDERFUL! Everywhere I looked, I saw people enjoying themselves. The ship accommodates all ages, families, and interests. There are few ports that can handle Oasis, so it's NOT about the itinerary. It's about this big, beautiful "spoiling machine". I know...because I'm home today, doing laundry, waiting for my bed to magically be made & wondering what I'm going to eat!
We choose an inside cabin so that we can rest 24/7 if we like (we never know when the sun is rising). This was not a good plan on Oasis, since it's all about the balconies. I'm convinced our's was the smallest cabin I've ever seen...but that was my choice. In the future I will pay more attention to sq. footage. The cabin was in need of refurbishing, as well as the mattress and lumpy bedding.
Relaxing day on the beach. Food options were better on the ship.
