I went on this beautiful, large ship with 20 of my family when it was new. I chose to go back on this ship because there is lots to do including a great ice skating show which is presented several times. The ship is starting to need to be refreshed since I could see lots of places that were warn from many years of use.
Parking in Ft. Lauderdale was difficult as a result of where this ship ...
Took this cruise as a bit of a family Christmas destination vacation (albeit not actually at Christmas exactly). Traveled with our two teenage kids (daughter 13 and son 17), my parents, and my brother. Wife and I stayed in a balcony room while the kids and my brother shared an interior room. My parents also had their own interior room. We all traveled from different parts of the country. Us ...
This cruise was the last week of a 4 week cruise and was our 34th cruise (D+ on Royal). We had been on Freedom many years ago with one of our children to enjoy the then new Flow Rider.
The first leg of our trip was the 8 night Eastern Caribbean, followed by a 6 night Western Caribbean, another 8 night Eastern and lastly, this 6 night Western.
Spending 28 days on this ship, gave us an ...
Theis is the same identical cruise we took in 2016. We enjoyed it so much we booked it again for 2017. Great crew, food, entertainment, and wonderful service. Our cabin was of course great as we book the same one from 2016. It was good to see some of the same staff still on board the Freedom.
The Spa experience was new to me this time around. I had two acupuncture treatments and totally ...
We picked this 6-day cruise solely on the basis of the dates... had to fit it into a predetermined vacation schedule. It was just happenstance that it was RCCL and the Freedom of the Seas. We would have likely picked Celebrity were it not for the dates.
In brief, the cruise wasn't terrible, it wasn't great... it was, well, average. And it wasn't a bargain... not a great value for what we ...
We were on the Freedom about 2 years ago and loved it.
We found the ship in good shape but seems a little tired or worn out to us.
The food has gone downhill , still good but not great.
The entertainment has gone downhill same production shows and the other acts were ok just not the wow factor we were used to except for the Ice Show which is always great.
The casino is a big ashtray ...
We love the ship and the filet mignon in Giovanni’s Table was the best we have ever had and we have eaten at some of the best steak houses in the country. We also love their private island, Labadee. Dont miss the Discover Haiti Coastal Cruise. The crew is outstanding. The food for breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer was hit and miss. The cabins were very clean but the rugs in the aisleways ...
As with all RCCL, they go for quantity rather than quality
Bigger is all that they have going for them along with more sports activities onboard than others.
Go expecting 3rd class with crowds and you won't be disappointed
RCCL corporate policies are the biggest downside to the whole experience, especially towels and up charges
The crew goes above and beyond trying to overcome RCCL ...
Food was above ave in main dining room, not so good in the Windjammer. Bars did nothave Kettle One Vodka and quickly ran out of Grey Goose. Bar tenders by the pool were great and wait staff by the pool worked hard to please. Wait staff in main dining room were very good although they were having to run to get things done. I lost my Seapass card and it was quickly replaced but they ended up ...
