Wonderful holiday cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

We chose this cruise for my parents and my family of four since it was supposed to be great for families with wonderful service. Getting on and off the ship was easy (note: if you have Global Entry bring your cards (they do not have passport scanners) and look for the right line because it is not well marked). We had three rooms (a grand suite for my parents - this was awesome, a junior ...

Treated our extended family to an 8 night Caribbean cruise for the holidays. There were seven of us total in 3 cabins. Positives: overall friendly staff, ship was clean. My in-laws had the Ben and Jerry “sweet” and really enjoyed the perks, wonderful meal at Giovannis. Cons: food has continued to go down in quality, time to get food in main dining room (My time) was absurd. Often took ...

Cruise for the beach crowd

to spend Christmas with my son and his family. I was not aware that this particular cruise would be all about beaches and water sports. Labadee is very nice, pretty, scenic, but there's nothing to do except swim or play water sports which cost a lot of money or sit on the hot beach all day. The shopping is very limited too. Tourist junk, mis fit sizes in clothing, and is a Real Tourist trap. ...

This was our first cruise and was an enjoyable experience. I was impressed that hygiene was priority#1 for all crew and staff. The ship was very clean and all the staff were very courteous and friendly. Entertainment on the ship was well managed and of high quality - the shows were of high quality and very entertaining. Although there were lot of food choices for lunch an dinner, after a couple ...

My husband and I have sailed exclusively with Royal Caribbean. We have been on all of the Sovereign class ships and we sailed on the Enchantment. Freedom was a step up in size and class, and we wanted to try it. Freedom is a beautiful ship, we experienced great dining and entertainment, great service, and a ship that only felt crowded twice, during muster, and after we tendered back from Grand ...

We had a great trip. This was our 2nd RC cruise and we had a wonderful time. Freedom of The Seas was fantastic, very clean and most all the staff was very friendly. The kids had a great time especially our 12 year old daughter, she got hooked up with some friends early and had the time of her life. The sate room was kept very clean, service was good in the dinning room. However the food was ...

We always cruise with Royal Caribbean we have been on 6 cruise's with them and they have always provided top notch service with every aspect of the cruise from dining to room service and everything in between. We also set up our next cruise while on board because of the savings that you get while setting it up on board also the shows and entertainment was great from the game shows to the bingo ...

Great service on the ship

We chose the cruise based on duration, ports and ship activities. Grand Cayman was nice, but the snorkel portion of our excursion was canceled due to weather. Costa Maya is a terrible port. There was no beach accessible for free and the dining and souvenirs were high priced. We never saw Cozumel - we did an excursion in Playa del Carmen - there was too much waiting and transportation time for a 1 ...

I am going to be thorough to try to give anyone reading this the best possible information. To give you some perspective - As a family, we traveled with our teenage child. This was our first cruise - so we cannot compare it to any other cruises, although we have done the all-inclusive vacations to the Caribbean many times, so we can give good perspective on the pros/cons of cruising vs. ...

Great time

Had a wonderful time on the cruise. The staff was extremely helpful at every turn! There was only one thing I wasn't crazy about - the ship seemed a bit over-crowded. Don't mind there being lots of people, but it seemed over-capacity for the space available. I believe the ship was originally built for 3,600 passengers, but they had remodeled so we actually had 4,200. It wasn't terrible, but ...
