As Latitude Sapphire, I’ve been on a cruise or two…almost 200 nights on NCL. I was excited to experience the Prima on only its 5th voyage. The concept of “more space” for passengers is a great idea but poorly executed. As I currently sit at the main pool (real time review), the space is so small and so packed with people that it feels more like a low budget spring break experience. They’ve ...
The Good:
Brand New Beautiful Ship (5th revenue cruise I believe)
Balcony Room was excellent in design and function
Food was exceptional (I tried: Hudson, Indulge, Local, Le Bistro, Commodore, Cagney’s and Palomar)
The not so good:
Shops were not real shops - they were aisles alongside of halls in most cases
Deck 8 (Infinity Pool, Ocean Boulevard...) issues include could not ...
There were so many wrong things about this cruise...where to begin? Let me start with the positive. Our cabin steward, Wejaya and his assistant Anna were great! They kept the room sparkling clean, with fresh ice and a new towel animal every day. Our room was on Lido deck, close to the buffet areas and pools. Anna and Wejaya worked hard from dawn to dark but were always pleasant and greeted us ...
After taking a similar cruise a couple of years ago, I wanted to see the NEW Panama Canal. And I did, at least 3 locks and the lake in the middle. Other than that, this was not a good cruise.
Check-in has been streamlined at Galveston, but it is still somewhat confusing and some people who were scheduled to check in much later that we were actually got through faster than we did - although we ...
The cruise itself was ok, but I am writing to get the word out that ALL of my kids came home with bed bugs! I am freaking out and worried if we now brought them in our house. CDC.gov website says that it can take up to 14 days for bites to appear once bitten, but Royal Caribbean is doing nothing about it since the bites appeared the day after we returned home. I reported it with our cabin ...
My father and I went on the Emerald Princess (dubbed the money pit later by me).
Our destinations were Rotan, Belize city and Cozumel. The cruse was great except the elaborate prices for anything other than iced tea or water. Also the gratuity that is charged for ordering a drink at the bar. And I have never seen a casino that charged for drinks to players and then charged gratuity to boot (until ...
It been a while since we sailed with RCI and we were disappointed with the selection and quality of the food. It was the same thing for 7 days in the windjammer food was warm at best and lacked variety. The formal dining lacked any great desserts like warm molten chocolate cake, etc. We ate at the Chops steak house the first night and found out they didn't even offer a ribeye. if you wanted an ...
FOG!!! Delayed getting on the ship and again getting off the ship!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! This happens more often than they will admit. To get on the ship we were delayed for more than 8 hours and put into this huge room with chairs and TV's. We stayed there for hours!!! Were not offered any food or water!!! There were so many families with little children that I felt terrible for. Apparently Texas and ...
First of all, be warned. If you plan on anything other than the meals and water, tea or juice, then your trip is only half payed for by embarkation time. Knowing what I know now, Carnival is the king of the extra and up charge. So you've only begun to pay for your trip by boarding unless you intend on doing nothing.
Our waiters were great. As well as our room stewards. If nothing else the ship ...
*Disclaimer* This is a long but honest review by an experienced cruiser. If you want someone to just blow a little sunshine up your Bermuda shorts, go on to the next review. Having said that, this was our 6th cruise, and our 5th with Carnival. We have had descending levels of experience with Carnival, but had high hopes for the "Magic", since she was the newest ship in the fleet at the time of ...
