As Latitude Sapphire, I’ve been on a cruise or two…almost 200 nights on NCL. I was excited to experience the Prima on only its 5th voyage. The concept of “more space” for passengers is a great idea but poorly executed. As I currently sit at the main pool (real time review), the space is so small and so packed with people that it feels more like a low budget spring break experience. They’ve created several small spaces around the ship but there are definitely not enough of them to “spread out” the guests. Thus, everything ends up being way over crowded. The Mandara Spa is nothing like the typical NCL experience. It is dark, compact and not enjoyable or relaxing. Specialty dining is next to impossible to reserve. A previous review mentioned the ship caters to Haven guests and I agree. The shows all had Haven only presentations. The theater is very small so don’t plan on getting to experience the shows. The overall design is choppy and hard to navigate. The food in all venues is outstanding. Indulge is a great concept and very enjoyable. The cabins are spacious with a beautiful decor. Overall…I won’t book Prima Class again. Stick with Breakaway Class…..yes they’re are more passengers….BUT….they were designed to handle it….Prima should realistically be capped at about 2,000 to actually attain the vision they had.
