First the Good. The hard working Celebrity staff remain impeccable in terms of warmth, hospitality, friendliness, and professionalism. The ship is going into Dry Dock in January for a total makeover, but it was absolutely spotless. The public areas both inside and out were well maintained. Because we were in an AquaSpa cabin, we ate in the Blu Dining Room which we enjoyed. The Maitre'D, hostess ...
We were joined on this cruise by long-time friends. We are twice a year cruisers and have a love for the Celebrity ambiance and service. They owned a travel agency and have traveled the world. Interestingly they have never sailed with Celebrity!. It was a great time for all. The Silhouette is going into refurb this year but still is an excellently cared for and neat ship. As expected the service ...
This is our 10th celebrity cruise. We were aware that the Silhouette is scheduled to go into dry dock after 2 more sailings so were aware it would probably have signs of "age". We were pleasantly surprised at the overall condition of the ship. Any signs of wear were overshadowed by the service we encountered. Every crew member was friendly, helpful and really did make us feel that we were their ...
Ship is still looking great and the price and ports were very attractive. Getting on the ship couldn't have been easier once we made it in the building. Access to the Miami piers is horrific. 1st day lunch was great, room 7221 on the hump ready at 1:30 and then on to the Martini bar. Dinner at Tuscan Grille was excellent, but may not be worth it unless you have OBC to burn. Cruise Critic ...
We are loyal to Celebrity, have been on 17 long cruises and until this one have always been happy with Celebrity. Our air arrangements (Choice Air) booked directly with Celebrity were a nightmare. What should have been no more than 4 or 5 hours turned out to be closer to 14 hours. If it had been weather related we would have accepted it but when we booked the air we were not given a choice of ...
We have sailed on 5 Celebrity cruises, Equinox, Eclipse twice on Reflection and first time on Silhouette. We love Celebrity for the low key, kick back relaxing atmosphere. we are 55 and 62 years old. So not young and not ancient. Celebrity really does treat guest with respect. (except maybe Guest Relations, they need to work on this) We choose Celebrity mainly for the duration and ports. plus ...
We chose this cruise for the ports and excursions and were not disappointed. Our favourite excursions were the yacht racing on St Maarten and the catamaran and snorkelling on Grenada. Harrison caves on Barbados and the bus excursions to the Pitons on St Lucia were also very interesting but the bus rides were exceptionally long and tiring.
The staff on board were exceptional, always looking to ...
Post cruise thoughts. We booked this cruise because we loved the Celebrity
Equinox and were told this is the sister ship and exactly the same. It is mostly the same but some important differences. No bar in the back of the ship on deck 14. A underutilized Master Celler wine area and just not the service level we expected. While we enjoyed our cruise I was disappointed with Celebrity in many ...

Sailed out of Fort Lauderdale (1st time) and what a breeze. Embarkation was smooth and concierge class and above is the only way to go. Disembarkation was just as smooth. Lounge with coffee/juice and pastries was available on the ship while we waited for our time to disembark. The customs system at the port is smooth (picture taken) which eliminates the long line ups to be interviewed by custom ...
