Disappointing tours and food

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

Overall: This was somewhat disappointing cruise that did not live up to the hype. Embarkation: A breeze. Easiest boarding ever. No lines, knowledgeable people. Cabin: We had a B-1 veranda stateroom. The room itself was fine. Flat screen TV, although not much to watch. (You could watch “Titanic” if ship disaster movies are your thing.) Adequate underbed storage for our soft-sided ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

The ship is magnificent, although the recent refurbishment in 2023 didn't reach all the staterooms( not allowed to call them cabins), the carpet in our room was badly stained. When contemplating a cruise with Cunard get everything in writing, we spent 3 hours on the phone between NZ and Australia with the Cunard agent and decided to upgrade our stateroom to a room with an un-interrupted view, on ...

Average on Oceania Regatta

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

This was our first cruise with Oceania and a small ship. It was great we could stop at places that larger ships do not visit. Staff and food were really excellent, but the entertainment was not as good or varied as a bigger ship can provide. Our cabin was on Level 7 (A1Concierge Veranda) and it was disappointing to discover our hand basin was cracked, the soap dish was badly chipped and then ...

Great Cruise. Confusing Layout and Aging Infrastructure

Don't be frightened by this review. If you have already booked, you will not have a bad time on this cruise ship. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. HOWEVER, if you have not already booked, I suggest you consider another ship. The QM2 is aging and due for a re-ft later this year. There's a lot of rust and stains around deck, in restaurants and our cabin. It clearly shows the wear from all those ...

Hey there, It took me a while to write this review as I had to calm down and make sure I was in the right frame of mind to write my review. For those of you that are diehard Oceania cruiser’s, sorry but you’re truly missing the boat. I planned my cruise for almost a full year as it was a Bucket list cruise (can never afford to do this Cruise again). Sydney to the South Pacific, wish I could say it ...

Not up to expectation

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

Australia and New Zealand had been on my bucket list forever. I decided to upgrade my cruise experience and take this trip on Oceania. The cruise was a disappointment. It started when we came to board and we’re told we had to vivid test even though we had gotten an email 2 weeks earlier that we did not have to test. Mass confusion for the next three hours. The bathroom in the cabin was tiny. ...

Solid Middle - Awful Start and Finish

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Silver Muse

We were looking for a trip to Australia and New Zealand over the 2022 Christmas Holidays. Once on board the silver suite was very nice, the ship was in great condition and the multiples restaurants and lounges were very good. Butler and restaurant staff were excellent. Wi-Fi was available but slow. However, we will never sail Silversea again. Embarkation from Sydney was chaos - 2 plus ...

Australia extravaganza “Not”

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

We chose the cruise for the itinerary, it was a circumnavigation of Australia calling at many smaller ports. We were also led to believe that the food on Oceania was the best at sea. Our Christmas Day dinner was so poor that I was envious of all those people at home who were having a traditional Christmas Dinner. We had no sprouts, pigs in blankets, vegetables or gravy. The desserts were like ...

CUNARD IS UNRECOGNISABLE

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Have just returned from circumnavigation of Australia on Queen Elizabeth. I chose Cunard as I have always found them to provide impeccable 5-star service, am Diamond level and have previously enjoyed all aspects of cruising with Cunard. When I started cruising with Cunard in 2003, the ships and the whole experience were all 5-star but now QE would barely rank a 3-star rating in nearly all ...

Mostly Good

Not many people I spoke to could access the web site to do the on line check in,before we sailed. Web site told everyone to arrive at terminal at noon, so we spent more than two hours lined up before we got on board, some of that time it rained, lucky for us only drizzle. Web site definitely needs to fixed. Cabin and food good,Lido service area a bit cramped at times. We had two ...
