We booked this cruise with friends. They liked the itinerary because it stopped in Slovenia and his ancestry is from Slovenia. We wanted to try Silversea, they portray themselves as having ULTRA LUXURIOUS ships. They claim 6 star ratings!
Let's be honest. The Silver Whisper is tired and worn. Hasn't been updated in years.

We had never been to Eastern Europe so when we saw this cruise we were excited. Chose for the ports. There were no port lectures.
No childrns activities
Entertainment was poor especially the post show panorama lounge. Felt like the cruise line wanted us to go to bed, did private tours and no admissions were included in the tour which I felt like being nickel and dime'd.

Myself and two girlfriends chose this cruise as it had a list of destinations that other cruise lines do not do ... especially being able to go to Kusadasi, Turkey and take a trip to Ephesus. This was our fifth cruise with Silversea. Ports were excellent and dates worked for us. Thought the food was average, dinner service was ok. The ship is really nice. Food was good. Service was very good. We really enjoyed the smaller ship with fewer guests.
