We had never been to Eastern Europe so when we saw this cruise we were excited. We would have opportunity to visit and get a feel for these countries/ports without having to invest in a long stay at any one port. The ship was a perfect size, easy to traverse. Our Cabin #508 was larger than expected with a very nice balcony. My only minor issue for the whole cruise was that the refrigerator in the room did not get cold enough to chill wine properly. Our butler, as well as every member of the Silver Spirit staff were exceptionally courteous and efficient. We ate at all but Seishin and Pool Grill. The food was exceptional at all. We enjoyed Stars Supper Club the most. The presentation of 3 small plates for each course was inspired, allowing to taste many different selections. Added to that there was a terrific Jazz duo entertaining during the meal. We had dinner at Stars twice, don't miss!!

This was a Ballet cruise and 2 star performers from the Bolshoi Ballet performed in the theater on two different nights, with a meet and greet in the bar afterwards. They were very good but I sensed that their performance, as good as it was, was inhibited a little bit by the size of the stage. We didn't attend any other of the evening performances as we were taking tours every day that left early in the morning and we can no longer stay up that late too often -- ha, ha! As a special activity Fernando, the cruise director, gave Greek Made Easy classes every afternoon. These came in handy since we were spending an extra 4 days in Athens. Thank you Fernando!

Embarkation and disembarkation went remarkably smooth and easy. Very well organized. We were off the ship, got our baggage, through customs and in a taxi to our hotel within about 15 minutes!!!!

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

Cabin V1

Cabin was more spacious than I had envisioned with a very nice balcony. The walk in closet was huge. The bathroom was more than adequate with a shower and large tub (we did not use). The bed was very comfortable. My only dislike was that the refrigerator did not get cold enough to properly chill white wine or champagne.
