Overall we enjoyed our trip. The housekeeping staff were wonderful, as were the staff members in the Windjammer and Main Dining Room on Deck 4. I also thought that the shore excursions were well organized. And the tour guides were very knowledgeable.
However, we had a number of problems with the Guest Services staff. We needed to borrow a wheelchair and the member at the desk flat out refused, ...
Wanted an accessible getaway with no flight required...and this worked. Pleasantly surprised and loved the smaller ship. The food could have been hotter but that's about the only real thing that was noteable. Some meals outshined others...but we had no complaints....the buffet was a buffet -with a ton of options and the other venues were quite good.. Chefs dinner was phenomenal. We did use room ...
I chose this cruise because I've never been to New England before. Unfortunately, because of the hurricane, our itinerary was changed to the Bahamas. I'm a warm weather person so I was not angry with this. Also, we only had some 970 passengers on board because many people either could not change at the last minute or did not want to go to the islands..
The passengers really made this cruise. We ...
On the day of the cruise we flew into Newark, NJ and had prepaid the RC shuttle from the airport to the cruise port. There were about 80 people at the airport terminal and they sent one bus which only holds 50 people so after waiting two hours in 90 degree heat a second bus finally arrived. We got to the ship a little after 2PM. Since they knew how many people had signed up there was no excuse for ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary that included Iceland and Greenland, and the price (we travel a lot, before the Jewel, we spent weeks in Europe and since this cruise we spent 6 weeks in Singapore, Hong Kong, and China), since we have to watch the budget. We enjoyed the itinerary, and overall the experience was good. The crew worked hard and the service was good.
We loved ...
I enjoyed this cruise, but prefer the Oasis class versus the Freedom class (first time). I have been on the Voyager of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas (2x), and Radiance of the Seas.
I sailed on the Liberty of the Seas on 8/24 (first cruise of season) packed for totally different weather. Bring pants and jackets. Do not expect to be able to sit out on ...
I love this ship. I've sailed on her twice and would go again. My only complaint is they need the drink fountains that come with the amped ships. We skipped the soda package, because standing at the bar to get my kids a soda is a waste of everyone's time. Other than that, we had a fabulous cruise. We had a really foggy sea day, which was interesting and fun! The fog horn going on all night ...
A cruise ship this size is really impressive the first time you are on one. It's is older but looked great to us. We liked the ship, our cabin, the ports we visited and the shows very much. We even got used to the 80s music all over so that we missed it when we got home. It was very cheerful and so are the staff, who are well trained. I have never had so many people trying so hard to make me ...
We had a nice time, there is no question about it. Staff was solid during the whole trip and there was always something to do. Entertainment was enjoyable outside of the family feud game which was a mess. The ship is from 2007 and you can tell at times. There might be a facelift in the near future. It did feel crowded so I think if we were to take another cruise in the future it would probably ...
We did the October repositioning from Boston to San Juan. It was my first Royal Caribbean cruise in ten years and first one since covid ( NCL Dawn 5 years ago) the ship reminded me of the Navigator, Mariner and Explorer ships. It was a great size not too big or small. Our balcony room was adequate. Cabin steward was great. It was an adjoining cabin and could hear a screaming child the first and ...
