We chose this cruise because of the itinerary that included Iceland and Greenland, and the price (we travel a lot, before the Jewel, we spent weeks in Europe and since this cruise we spent 6 weeks in Singapore, Hong Kong, and China), since we have to watch the budget. We enjoyed the itinerary, and overall the experience was good. The crew worked hard and the service was good.

We loved HAL's Lincoln Center Stage with the excellent musicians, but since they killed that program we looked elsewhere for our trans Atlantic cruise. There was an excellent guitar / violin duo on the Jewel, but when they played in the bar lounge the partiers were mostly too loud, the last time we just gave up as the drunks never shut up, though they had nothing to say. The Caribbean band was good, but very loud. The Latin band didn't do much for me.

The best thing was the fun aerobic dancing in the morning - the Mexican lady, Hernanda, was a great energetic friendly leader, and unlike most fitness dance, she didn't need to destroy my eardrums with idiotically loud music. After a few days a crowd of regulars showed up every morning.
