Enjoyable Getaway with Just a Few Hiccups

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

1. Embarkment- Easy and Fast, we were onboard by 11:45 a.m. 2. Suite - Deck 6 with balcony. Nice size and ok balcony (2 chairs no lounges) but "long in the tooth" needs refurbishing. Especially the worn out and stained carpet. Cushions and throw pillows need replacing, not dirty just worn out. 3. Food - OK, but not the best. We returned one meal and suddenly we had a restaurant manager, ...

Much More Splendor

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Seven Seas Splendor

My wife, mother (87 years old), sister and her husband, brother and his significant other, and I recently returned from a trans-Canal cruise, “Christmas on the Canal,” on the Regent Splendor. This was a bit of a “hail Mary” cruise after an utterly horrible experience on a prior cruise on the Splendor (see “Splendor? Not So Much”). What gave us some belief that service would be better was an ...

My first cruise ever!

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

Overall, I (solo traveler) had a nice time. However, midway through the cruise I went to the Observation Lounge for a drink after dinner. The server came over to take my order, but then reminded me of the dress code (see below). I was extremely confused as I was wearing a white blouse, black skirt, and heels. I asked him to clarify, but he just repeated himself. After bringing me my drink, I felt ...

Dear cruisers, Before I start with my review I would like to point out that the comments, observations and feelings in this review are personal and belong to this specific Caribbean cruise that started on January 13th and ending on the 24th on board the Regent SS Splendor. This was a cruise that should've happened more than 1 1/2 years ago but because of the pandemic was canceled and ...

Jan, Carib cruise - just a little bumpy

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Chose cruise for its all inclusive features. No worry about WiFi charges, drink charges, etc. Thought the food was excellent, especially the no-res needed Italian Setti Marie. The expansive pool side grill offered many choices in addition to usual burger/hot dog items. Gym was really nice, stretching across the ship’s beam at the stern. All equipment working and clean. Jogging track ...

Ten Day Christmas Cruise of the Eastern Caribbean (Leeward Islands)

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

The Regent ships are smaller. Approximately 750 passengers and 500 crew. The amenities; service, food, entertainment; are fantastic. The cruise is all inclusive (the cost of alcohol, food, tips, excursions are generally all included). Certain premium items (high end alcohol, tours, spa services) need to be paid extra for. A $400 per room credit is provided to pay for some these types of ...

Best way to experience the Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

Most everyone, especially those who love the sea, has some familiarity with the story of the Panama Canal. David McCullough's marvelous book, The Path Between the Seas, is required reading for anyone making this trip. But no amount of reading or watching videos or documentaries prepares you adequately for the real thing. That's why we chose this trip. We began in Miami's Mandarin Oriental ...

First timer on Regent, but not first time on luxury cruise line...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

BACKGROUND INFO: We have done many cruises on many different lines, Silversea, Seabourn, Azamara, Celebrity, RCCL, Holland America, Paul Gauguin. We have done majority of our cruises on Silversea and wanted to see what Regent was all about since fellow Silversea cruisers spoke highly of Regent. You never know if a cruise line is for you unless you try it for yourself. We live in Florida so ...

Crew & Passengers Make The Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We chose this cruise to give Regent a try. We do about 4-6 cruises a year on premium and luxury lines (Seabourn, SilverSea, Celebrity, Azamara, Paul Gauguin, etc.). We have been watching for a Regent cruise to depart from our local ports in FL and this one popped in and worked with our schedule. Boarding the ship at Terminal J in Miami was easy as usual. Boarding the ship was like the rest, ...

Vibrations not nearly as bad as expected

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

User Avatar

We had booked a suite high and forward to limit the effects of the vibrations, i was surprised, not bad at all. The ship is smaller so it took me a while to get adjusted to the ceiling height and general smallness of the ship, it needs refreshing and i heard it was due in the near future. The smaller ship gives you a more intimacy feeling. The stewardess were as usual amazing , always ...
