Elite and worse trip ever.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Royal Princess

As an elite member I have never been so disappointed. The food was awful. One day I was almost in tears because of the menu on the buffet, being gluten free I had very little options. I understand the MDR is much better option but if order a meal the day before sometimes I just don't get there. Case in point I ordered GF fish and chips for pub lunch but completely slept through it. ...

Crowded, but generally sweet staff. Would do it again

This 14-day cruise to New Zealand from Sydney was my husband’s second and my third. We are in our late 60s and cost-conscious. We were bound to be excited by the weather as it was summer there and we were in winter at home. We have not done a lot of traveling outside of the United States. We did not use a travel agent, but I spend a lot of time on research. Because of what I suspect was a ...

Amazing adventure

This ship has an open promenade area, which we like. There were lots of music and other events in this area which were very, very good. The evening shows were generally wonderful, with a few exceptions. The Princess singer and dancers were amazing. Our balcony cabin was just fine. We don't normally do a balcony but we enjoyed it on this cruise. The sports up top were quite disappointing because of ...

A mixed experience

Many aspects of the cruise were excellent. Room stewards, dining staff, pool deck outlet staff all excellent. The difficult aspects stand out. I had a feather pillow the first night, and I had an asthma attack. If you need a hyperallergenic pillow, request one before your cruise. To rub salt into the wound, they were repainting the superstructure in port when I was resting from asthma, and ...

We are Platinum member of Princess. Signed up for Majestic Princess for two consecutive cruises starting 11/25/2023 to New Zealand and then 12/10/2023 to Australia. This cruise was to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday. Actually looked at cruise critic reviews of this ship with just average ratings before booking although being a long time Princess cruise supporter, believed it could just be ...

We had an amazing experience on the Princess Masjestic cruise that we went on From November 27 to December 10. The staff was exceptional, a special shout out to the staff at the restaurants Robert (Buffet Manager), Rakesh (Buffet Steward) and Constancio (Commis Chef) for providing excellent customer service. They made the trip even better with their warm welcomes and willingness to go the extra ...

A "Bucket List" cruise to New Zealand that could have been better

In this review...Temperatures in Celcius. Currency onboard Australian Dollar. Language onboard English. As with my other cruise reviews, I will split my review into categories. I'll also give marks out of 10 for each section where appropriate. Embarkation. To be honest, this was almost a shambles and very rushed. I realise that the ship needs to get passengers on as quickly as possible, ...

First time cruising on Majestic from Sydney. Most times travel on RC. Ship is older and does not have the bells and whistles, which is ok as I don’t use them anyway, more for the kids and teens. The central atrium was small so therefore the whole cruise was impossible to get a seat there as they were occupied constantly with people not moving on. The problem with the Majestic is that is has hardly ...

First Cruise. New experience, better than we had hoped.

ABOUT US Echo and I are brother and sister (I'm the sister), and are close knit. Neither of us had ever sailed before. I often have Youtube videos going to be a kind of background sound, and Tips for Travellers came on. Gary has a pleasant voice to half-listen to. I kept selecting TfT, and Youtube started popping up other cruise Influencers. Because of this I realised that on a cruise ship, ...

Very average experience on board the Majestic Princess

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Majestic Princess

We chose this cruise to see Fiji, but bad weather pushed us away from the Fiji islands two days early. Out of three planned days in Fiji, we only were able to see the Suva area and in heavy rain. The cruise made up for it with an extra day at sea and an extra day in New Caledonia. The ship itself is relatively new, so it looks fresh, but overall, it's appearance is average. I think the ...
