Echo and I are brother and sister (I'm the sister), and are close knit. Neither of us had ever sailed before. I often have Youtube videos going to be a kind of background sound, and Tips for Travellers came on. Gary has a pleasant voice to half-listen to. I kept selecting TfT, and Youtube started popping up other cruise Influencers.

Because of this I realised that on a cruise ship, you have live music, theatre, good food and a place to retreat to, all within easy walking distance. To get that combination of things on land requires travel or a room in a carefully chosen in-city hotel.
