Positives: (1) we were on board within a half hour of arrival to the the pier. (2) my dh and i won 2 trivia contests which had actual prizes-bottles of champagne (3) the princess app on the phone was easy to navigate. (4) dravuni, fiji cruise port is outstanding and saved this cruise from being a zero. Negatives: (1) no ac in our cabin for 3 days in the hot south pacific. Impossible to have a ...

Nice small cruise but lots of issues

Seems like Princess are skimping on staff. Distinct lack of drinks waiters. Having to wait up to 20 minutes for a waiter to come by. Cost of drinks very expensive. Basic glass of wine $15.one would think that it would pay to have extra staff as this is where a lot of money is made. Food was great. Entertainment excellent. We only took x1 Princess excursion as they were ridiculously expensive, a ...

We were travelling with friends from a previous cruise. There The ship is dated. The external appearance is worn. The interior fittings in looked dark and out of style but The cabin decks carpets looked worn. The ship layout was confusing having travel up and down decks to reach the rear restaurant. ,,, The medallion app was great and easy to use, streamlining drink orders etc. ...

Fantastic Cruise around NZ

We chose this cruise as was in the tail end of the school holidays for us and it left from our hometown of Auckland and came back to Auckland. This was a joint cruise which already had people who had boarded in Sydney and who disembarked when we hit our second port of Sydney. Once there, another load of people embarked. The organisation of those of us in transit in Sydney was much better ...

We did a back to back cruise on Majestic Princess from 18th January to 10th February 2024. The first cruise was a 13 night cruise and sailed to Pacific Islands of Vanuatu, Fiji & New Caledonia. The second cruise sailed to Queensland. Both cruises started and ended in Sydney. We flew to Sydney from London Heathrow via Singapore with British Airways which was a very pleasant flight. We just ...

OK, but not great

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Island Princess

We chose the Half World cruise as a way to escape winter and to get to the Arab countries where we wanted to tour. Cruising is always pleasant and so my rating is relative to other cruises we've done. Generally the food was ok (what you might expect at Denny's) and the ride not to bad (for us) even when the seas were rough. But nothing was impressive and the entertainment was VERY lame. You can ...

The Majestic is one of the latest ships in the Princess lineup , so we thought we would give it a try. Embarkation was smooth and quick. We decided to bid for an upgrade from a balcony to a Deluxe balcony cabin , our bid was successful but we found out that the couple in the adjacent cabin just asked for an upgrade equal to ours and were given it (free). BEWARE!!!!. The cabin was ...

A Disappointing Christmas Cruise

We were really looking forward to this cruise to New Zealand but sadly left the ship very disappointed. We booked 10 months in advance as part of a 6 week tour of Australia and New Zealand departing from the UK. We had stayed on the ship for this cruise after we had completed the previous cruise around Australia and Tasmania. Our balcony cabin was adequate for our needs but the balconies are ...

Beautiful ship but we like the older and smaller Princess ships

The Majestic Princess is a beautiful ship. The atrium is spectacular. However we prefer the older and smaller Princess ships such as Coral Princess, Diamond Princess etc. All our favourite venues for dancing, which we love, and listening to live music such as the Explorers Lounge, Wheelhouse Lounge and Crooners Bar have been replaced by restaurants and Princess Live on the newer ships. On ...
