As recommended by a CAA rep this cruise was very professionally conducted with a lovely ambiance in the cabins, dining rooms, lounges and upper deck. The ship was extremely well maintained and showed fine attention to detail. The environment was spotless! The staff was exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful at all times. They presented as personable and efficient, while showing great humour ...

We took the Amawaterways Danube River cruise from Prague to Budapest. After a three day visit to Prague, we boarded the ship in Vilshofen for a 6 night trip, followed by a one night stay in Budapest. Most of the excursions were included and had a wide choice of difficulty to accommodate every passenger. The few extra trips that we took were well worth the money as well. All of the tour guides ...

AMADante Danube Cruise; Excellent

Was looking for a Danube cruise and AMA got good reviews on Cruise Critic. It lived up to all the positive comments. The ship was beautiful and spotless, the staff exceptional, food very good. Loved the excursions and the excursion leaders -- this is important as much of the time is spent exploring the gorgeous Eastern European towns. They were extremely knowledgeable (many historians, teachers ...

My husband and I were a little apprehensive to book any cruise, as my husband gets a little green with the rocking of a boat. There was no rocking whatsoever and we spent some of our time on the top deck enjoying the scenery. We booked on the AmaSonata... the "Romantic Danube"-Wine Theme Voyage and had a vacation of a lifetime. We spent our first 3 nights in Prague. The hotel was nice and the ...

Where to start? My family and I booked a cruise with amawaterways entitled "romantic Danube" a offering of ports from Prague to Budapest in about 10 days(though 7 day cruise). Sailing in November through middle and eastern Europe is really taking a chance on weather so be advised. You could have rain and fog the whole time with temps never climbing out of the 40s. We had a stroke of good luck, ...

Our first and probably our last river cruise. Our 7 day river cruise of the Danube was dubbed, by all the guests, as the 4 day bus cruise. We were bused and only used the Dolce as our hotel. Now we sure understand global warming and weather can not be controlled. We were told in Prague, the day before the cruise was to begin, that due to very low water tables on parts of the Danube we could begin ...

We cruised on AmaSerena on the Dnaube during September and thoroughly enjoyed it. The ship was new and well laid out. Our Crusie Director, Dejan Stancic was outstanding....professional, pleasant, helpful and a delight to deal with. Our cabin on the lower deck was comfortable and well planned. The bathroom had a spacious shower despite its small size. The staff and crew onboard were ...

This was our first river cruise, but it seems to us that it would be hard to top. The staff was outstanding, the food and wine excellent, the ship's facilities were everything we expected. Our cruise manager, Kata, was tireless in her efforts to make sure everything went right. We had a great time! Forced to nitpick, the internet service was sometimes slow, but it was complementary and you know, ...

Food and preparation were of upmost concern to us when looking for a cruise. Given that food is our vocation and avocation, preparation, quality and presentation are essential. We believe that the ingredients were of high quality. However, the cooking preparation and menu were quite confusing. Chef is obviously aware of modern cooking techniques, with his use of sous vide, etc. This is a fine ...
