I read the reviews and took a chance as some folks just like to complain. Learned my lesson. The service was definitely lacking on this ship. The adult pool area had one or two waiters that would come around every several hours to take a drink order. Most of the time if you wanted a drink, you had to go wait in a long line to get one. They were very slow to pick up the empty glasses. Overall good experience on my wife and I 2nd NCL cruise. Surprisingly very friendly staff made up for some minor flaws in the overall experience. No matter what cruise lines we vacation with, each has its pros/cons.

We were a party of six seniors. We chose the cruise because the timing worked and there was something new for everyone to see as far as ports.
The boarding process was easy and efficient. I would say there is no need to board early unless you want to explore the ship. Rooms were not ready for hours after we boarded.
