Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We took a cruise to the Western Caribbean aboard the Norweigan Epic. There were pros and cons. Being it was a really huge ship, the common areas on the ship were very crowded. They did offer various shows and activities. If you wanted to see a show you have to go to the box office to reserve your place. On another competitor you merely had to show up to see a show. (no reservations) I liked ...

Epic Fail?

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Not even sure where to start for this review. Let's start with embarkation process, normal and not to bad. This ship had 4100 guests on it. By far more than anyone needs to deal with. Every restaurant we ate at was at least a 2 plus hour dining experience. Once you received your food you never saw your waiter again. It took forever for them to take your order and then forever to receive your food ...

No Common Sense

Despite this being an Open Bar cruise, I was not allowed to bring my six pack of Diet Dr. Pepper onboard in case I was trying to smuggle alcohol onto the ship. I fully understand and support all efforts to stop guests from bringing on alcohol when the ship is selling it. But when they are giving it away to all guests of age, why stop someone from bringing in a soft drink that isn’t available on ...

Overall, this was one of the more average cruises I have been on. Everything was clean and well kept and I had a lot of fun. However, I think I would have had fun no matter what as I went with a group of 8 friends. Below I will list pros and cons: Pros: -Clean -Mostly friendly staff -Drinks were made well -Food was tasty and always cooked well -Entertainment was ...

Big ship with lots to do, but slow service, crowds and lines

This was our first experience on a very large ship and we were attracted to the variety of offerings it had for children. I didn't quite appreciate that the volume of people onboard would feel so apparent. Almost everywhere you went there were crowds, lines and bustling activity. The interior/decor was nice but not luxurious. Our ports of call were Tortola, St. Thomas and Great Stirrup Cay. All ...

We chose this cruise because we have never been on NCL. The wife and I were just looking for a relaxing getaway which is what we got. It was an older crowd which we enjoyed. The service was always great. The downside was definitely the food. We had one good dinner out of three. My wife’s best meal was her omelet for breakfast. I expected a bit more food wise but everything else was ...

first Norwegian cruise ! choose the Epic for the studio rooms for solo travelers - the room is perfect for one person and the use of the studio lounge was nice = met a lot of nice people there as well as on the ship - the shows were great [as usual ] - my only complaint was that the food I ate at several restaurants was cold and had to be returned - this was at the Taste, Sheehans Pub & grill ...

Chosen for relaxing and dancing. They list ballroom dancing in Main dining room but put tables on 80% of the dance floor. And band played dinner jazz. They didn't know what a Rhumba beat was. Too many people on this ship. Everything felt crowded. Buffet food was just so so. Main dining room was good food though. Overall, no desire to cruise on this ship again. First ship we've been on that did ...

We chose this cruise because of the date and the home port. We cruised the last two times on the Oasis and wanted to go to other destinations. If you have read the reviews that others have posted they are spot on. The bathroom deal is weird, the pools and deck space are weird, and for a large vessel you will not find any large and roomy spaces on board. Not too many happy passengers were to be ...

Less than Epic cruise on the Epic

We choose this cruise because there were no cruises that were 7 days leaving out of New York during the time we could go. I have been on many cruises, NCL, Carnival, Royal and this by far was the one of my least favorites. The ship it's self was ok. I didn't like the fact that there was only 2 banks of 8 elevators, unlike other ships of the same size which have 3. There was many times that I ...
