The ship was due to sail from Venice and we were advised that due to the weather, it was now leaving from Trieste but we needed to check in at Venice at usual from 11am. Of course, the weather is not their fault. We arrived early at 10:30 and proceeded to check in, it was fairly fast, we had done it online and the staff were fast to label our cases and clear us to the departure lounge, at ...

Great food and entertainment

We boarded the Magnifica the day that Venice flooded - the water was already calf-deep in the morning, very sad. The boarding process was very smooth, and so was our departure. Our interior cabin was always clean and well tended; make sure you bring tissues (kleenex) as they aren't provided. The TV only showed news, news, and the view from the bow of the ship. You want movies? You have to ...

The good the bad and the indifferent

Review for MSC Magnifica to Baltic Sea

We chose this cruise due to the price and itinerary and it fitted in with our wedding anniversary. We hadn't sailed with MSC before and were advised by the travel agent that they were now trying to appeal to the British market,by making English the first language and making the cuisine more appealing to UK customers. So despite most of the reviews we thought we would give it a go. The good: ...

Our second time on Magnifica this year-this time for 10 days-and we had an equally fabulous time! Entertainment was great and we loved the dancing each night. We were delighted that Kalid had been promoted since our last visit in May- this young Moroccan man is talented, great with customers and is going places! Hope to see him as a Cruise Director one day! The whole entertainment team work ...

As this was my first cruise I was really let down by the poor facilities for disabled people . I’m an amputee and there was no help getting on or off the expensive shuttle buses none of them had a lift for the wheelchair so I had to climb the stairs of the buses really disturbing , also being lifted in the air by the staff to get on and off the ship because some had stairs this really upset me , ...

I booked a lovely cruise to Norway with my wife as a last minute holiday, being only the second cruise we were a little out of touch on what to expect however embraced the idea of travelling north for a change and made sure that we packed winter clothes. In my opinion I can say that from the very start of our holiday we were looked after very well by the Southampton port authorities and the ...

I believe you get back what you give, If you like to find fault with everything I am sure you can spend your cruise doing this. I am fortunate to have married a like minded positive thinker and we are thoroughly enjoying our time onboard the Magnifica. Apparently I was born with a smile on my face and I know I have been walking around the ship beaming and I have had so many of the staff say nice ...

Looked like a good deal for the money. 1. First excursion was cancelled, did not find out until 10 pm day before I had to go and ask where was the tickets for the excursion on my own and person at the desk was not too helpful, end of her shift 2. Passports taken at time we first boarded and were advised would be given back in 3 days for France. Go to meeting location for France ...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...

Review for MSC Magnifica to Baltic Sea

The advertised price for this cruise was too good to ignore - but having experienced it, I would change that statement to "too good to be true". The saying "You get what you pay for" certainly applied in this case... Having experienced five cruises with five different companies, I feel I can give an objective account. It was not all bad - but it certainly was not good. The ...
