We have had a river cruise on out "bucket list" for several years. Viking's reputation led us to booking with them. We were not disappointed. We have shared the experience of our cruise with whomever will listen, and praise Viking at every level. The cruise, accommodations, tours, food and entertainment created an overall experience that we will never forget. Not to mention a crew that ...

Our group consisted of eight friends traveling together, and we had a wonderful time. The crew knew our names, they were courteous and efficient; the food and service were beyond compare. In addition to a gourmet menu, the specials each night were so delicious!! Our group all loved wines, and the beverage package far exceeded our expectation for great wine during dinner and after. Not one of ...
This was a wonderful cruise because it covered so much of Europe. The staff on the ship were so friendly and attentive. They quickly knew your name and your tastes. The food on the ship was delicious and varied with the region. We loved sitting out on the Aquavit terrace for lunch and riding up top as we cruised along the rivers. All of the excursions were very informative and the quietvox ...
This was my 4th Viking Cruise and it was to areas I had never been in Europe. I try not to backtrack. As usual it was very well done. Lots of interesting excursions, beautiful scenery. Excursions were paced for all levels of participation. Longships travel at night so during the day you are able to view lots on the shore, castles, castles, castles. So much history to absorb.
Staff aboard was ...
We chose this cruise because of Viking‘s attention to detail. They take care of everything and that allows us to relax and enjoy ourselves and not worry about transportation details or itineraries. One of our biggest highlights was adding on a pre-extension in Lake Como, Italy. It allowed us to meet 42 other guests before we joined the ship in Basel, Switzerland. Viking had a private boat tour ...
We had been wanting to go on a river cruise. This was our first one and we chose this itinerary because the timing fit with other plans made. We enjoyed the small passenger feel. The staff worked hard to see that you were comfortable and had everything you needed. Some of the special things we enjoyed was the “Meet your Neighbors” event, where all your cabin neighbors met in the hall, drank ...
From the very beginning of boarding this beautiful ship, the very friendly staff made you feel right at home. The staff at every level were readily available to assist with any request you would have. The cabins were very nice and were well attended to with a very friendly staff. The dinning experiences were fantastic. The menus were very diverse choices for every pallet. There were always some ...
Rhine River experiences. Kept seeing the river ships sailing on PBS stations and wanted to see the sights in person. Every aspect of the trip was exactly what we wanted to experience. All the staff on the ship were excellent. We felt very well taken care of. Our friends who we were traveling with did not get a wheelchair because another person had fallen and needed the wheelchair. Therefore ...
We just got back from the Cities of Light cruisetour (August 7-18th, Prague to Paris on the Alsvin) and had a great time! This was our second Viking river cruise having gone on the Danube Waltz last summer (Budapest to Prague on the Legend) which we also really enjoyed. I was worried that August would be unbearably hot and crowded. However, we found the crowds quite manageable and the weather ...
