I am currently on the Jewel of the Seas on the TA cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton.
We flew to Miami on the 4th April with American Airlines. This was the first time flying with them and I was very impressed with the whole experience. There was more leg room than with other airlines we had used in the past and the boarding process was much more organised. The airline crew were very ...
The ship is beautiful, the staff exceptionally friendly, food excellent. But there are misses. The App is a PITA. If you don’t buy an online package, you know, to try to detox from social media, you will be so frustrated with even the app service. An no written itineraries with events so you have to find and watch and wait for a slow scroll of events in the hall or go to your room and navigate ...
Many time cruiser but first on the Royal mega-size. Exceeded expectations, yes there are 6000 people but they're spread out and there are some nice places to hang out without crowds like the Central Park.
Had five grandchildren along (ages 3 to 14) and they all found fun things to do. Coco Cay day was impacted by cold rain but I'm sure when the weather is nice it's even better.
Liked the ...
The Ascent is a very nice ship. Very modern, comfortable and didn't feel all that crowded except at the pool during days at sea and Ocean View Cafe during breakfast & lunch.
We stayed in a Infinite Balcony cabin on deck 8 which allowed for more interior space than a typical balcony room but still allowed the balcony experience. I was skeptical of this concept but I really enjoyed it and would ...
The wife and I took our 10th anniversary cruise (and first cruise ever) on the MSC Divina. We were originally going to try Virgin, as the kiddos were staying home with the grands for this one, but by the time we booked Scarlet Lady was full. MSC caught our attention from YouTube and online research. The price point was hard to beat and we weren't looking for a megaship for our first time out so ...
I was on the same ship last August. It was not very good, Food and drinks ran out all the time, the food both quality and quantity was bad and I am not fussy with food. But I am extremely pleased and happy to tell you food in the buffet has improved so very much that I thought I was in a different ship and very seldom ran out of things any more. MSC finally got it. Same with the seafood ...
We love this class of ship. So many great venues. We’ve sailed on Ovation before and were really excited as Odyssey is even larger and has a couple additional places to dine or drink. We are a bit disappointed in the overall lack of appealing entertainment with some terrific venues being underutilized. Two70 sits eerily quiet during the day on sea days whereas Ovation had some live music. The ...
The ship is one of the older ones, I believe it was built in 2002. The outside shows the age, but has been updated very nicely inside. The entire ship was very clean and nicely maintained. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious with comfortable beds. We had a suite with a balcony and it was a perfect size for the three of us. It had a king size bed, or you could request two twins, and a ...
The ship is beautiful and very clean. The staff is very friendly and they all do a great job.
The food in the buffet was just OK and the biggest concern was there was very little change on the buffet during our 10 day cruise. The same selections every day got boring quickly.
However the food in the Main Dining Room was amazing. It was very flavorful and out wait staff was fantastic. It was ...
Overall we enjoyed our 10 day cruise. We had a few issues that we know were a problem for others - I would want to be forewarned so read on if you are booked on Princess for a future trip. Note - my parents are late 60s and my son is almost 13 so it was the four of us.
Embarkation - flew in the night before, stayed at Home2Suites in FLL. Hotel was just ok. Embassy is better but for the 6 hours ...
