Japan was a destination that interested us. Seemed like good value for money at time of booking. When boarded our 1st experience with the cabin was extremely disappoined. Toilet was leaking and continued to leak throughout the cruise. The 2 TV's didn't work initially and were eventually fixed. Balcony door was jammed shut and had to be freed. This cruise was its initial cruise from Shanghai to Sydney via Korea, Hong Kong, Nha Trang, Saigon, Singapore, Darwin, Brisbane to Sydney. Have cruised with Princess many times and always had a great time. This new ship was built for the Chinese market at it shows. Poorly staffed, beds too hard, boarding process in Shanghai was abysmal.
It did improve as the cruise progressed, but was a really bad start.
