Visiting Alaska has been on our bucket list for some time. Princess Cruises has a stellar reputation when it comes to Alaskan Cruises and was highly recommended by our Travel Advisor.
The ship has been beautifully redone in the past few years and the cabins and amenities are top notch. The ship offers a wide variety of daily activities but on and off the ship. We had a starboard cabin which ...
We chose Princess due to reviews and size of ship. Also ability to choose wake view room aft with large balcony. The medallion class ship was a great novelty and allowed easy access to cabin, ordering drinks, exciting ship etc. We booked a premium balcony cabin aft facing wake which is always our preferred choice of cabin on cruises as offers views both sides. Our cabin R732 was smaller ...
We picked Royal Princess for the line's 50th year in Alaska and expected a big celebration to reinforce this. There was nothing special or different from our other 8 Princess cruises. The beautiful natural glaciers were the best part.
We started in Vancouver and boarded after a day of sights and Granville Island. We boarded Royal Princess with the new Ocean Medallions. They did not improve the ...
We chose this cruise bc of the itinerary. We think Princess has the best one in Alaska. The ship was very nice. We bought a suite to make it extra special. Unfortunately you really don’t get much more with a full suite than you do with a jr suite except a bit more room and a lot more cost. Unfortunately the balcony was always dirty bc of the smoke stacks and all the suites are aft. Our room ...
I travel extensively and this was the most expensive and one of the worst trips I’ve ever taken. We upgraded to a suite and executive lounge. The lounge service was good but the food stale, pedestrian and you had to pay for liquor. Dining Room and Lido deck food lacked quality, taste and freshness. We ate burgers and hotdogs because they cooked to order. The only free beverage was lemonade and ...
We chose this cruise because friends were already booked and we decided to travel with them; otherwise, we would have chosen another cruise line. Our cabin was spacious and clean. The bed, linens and pillows were very comfortable. The television was a good size with excellent quality transmission and a great variety of viewing options. Our cabin steward was excellent. Good amount of closet ...
Fantastic Family Journey
Amazing sights, amazing ship.
Shore excursions could not have been better.
Ship personnel were friendly and courteous
The food and restaurants were top notch.
Cabin was comfortable and the view from our balcony was outstanding. We were midship so , for the most part, any ship motion was virtually imperceptible.
The itinerary could not have been planned ...
It was a family cruise with number of others already booked on this Alaska cruise. We went on this one because others already book the cruise.
I found Alaska cruising pretty boring to visit tiny rural towns that exist mainly to host cruise ships.
Native American excursion in Ketchikan and Gardens and Glass Blowing in Skagway were really only interesting thing to participate in for this ...
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This was an Alaskan adventure on the newly refurbished Norwegian Joy. Alaska is one of our favorite locations to sail. The scenery and sea life can’t’ be matched.
We sailed on inaugural Bliss last year and we were scheduled to be on “inaugural” Joy after her $50M refurbishment to move her from an Asian-based ship to an “American” ship. But, NCL had other plans and ...
First time sailing Holland America. We a frequent Celebrity and RCCL cruisers, but liked the HA Alaska itinerary, plus there were some pricing specials that made this cruise very affordable. We booked a category VD balcony cabin (guarantee), and we were assigned our cabin 10 days before sailing. Location was pretty good....all of the VD cabins are either in the front or towards the rear of the ...
