This is our second cruise on the Encore this year and the most disappointing. The crew was missing the usual spark and coordination that we associate with past Seabourn cruises. When I got on board I thought gosh this is lovely this new ship, then after a few days I began to find design faults. You could not walk round the deck above the pool as there was not enough room from the end of the sun beds. The theatre had lots of seats with restricted views because of large pillars. We chose this cruise to experience the Suez Canal and for that the cruise was very successful. How did I rate the cruise overall - average I suppose? The food was good, especially buffet breakfast and lunch, loved the stir-fry and Thai noodle soup. The Kings Court always felt crowded, unless you dined early or late. I've sailed on Vision about 7 or 8 times, and have enjoyed it. I choose this ship mainly for the itinerary, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We purchased a package from Imagine Cruising which involved a 3 night pre cruise stay in the Atlantis Palm Dubai. We were unlucky with the weather as for 2.5 days we had cloud wind and surprisingly for the desert, some rain. It was even too cold to use the waterpark which was attached to the Hotel.
