My husband and I recently embarked on the Norwegian Jewell Cruise to Asia with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Several aspects of the cruise left much to be desired, prompting me to share this negative review.
1. Low-Quality Events: The onboard events and activities were disappointingly lackluster. From poorly executed shows to mundane ...
Buyer beware when booking this ship and itinerary. The selling point of going on 30hrs of flights from th US was that viking was knowledgeable ,had a good handle on the tours and we would be immersed in the culture from Bangkok to Bali .This was NOT the case. For the highlite tours we spent riding around on a bus for over 2 of the 3 to 3.5 hrs with a few photo stops. The vendors of these tours we ...

This itinerary was very poorly designed. Long 2-3 hour bus rides on excursions, through Indonesia slums and hot old buses. Stayed two days in Jataka, nothing to see but cheap for Viking to dock, Singapore was beautiful, we stayed 7 hours. The entire trip was promoted as as ending in Bali. We arrived at 6:00 pm, had to tender in, they overloaded tenders with to many people at 95 degree for a ...

Liked itinerary but expected to spend more time in Bangkok and Bali.
The ship was elegant and clean. Food was excellent but didn’t like the food in Chefs Table. This was our first Viking ocean cruise and may be our last if this is the way all their cruises are. No time to spend in Bangkok or Bali...misrepresented cruise. Some included tours were unsatisfactory, some were excellent.

We have taken numerous Viking river and ocean trips. I never write reviews, however travelers need to know this trip is not worth the time or money. Until this trip we have had wonderful experiences with Viking. Picked the Bangkok, Bali and Beyond because we hadn’t been to this region and the ports looked interesting. The trip started off rough when we missed a connecting flight, bad weather, and ...
What a disappointment Viking proved to be. On a cruise from Bangkok to Bali and beyond thank goodness I got off in Bali and not beyond. The plus was the food was quite good.
The penthouse veranda does not live up to its name and lacked even sliding glass doors to the veranda. The ports of call were a bad choice on Vikings part most of which I am sure management never stepped foot onto. The ...

We were looking forward to a stellar Viking experience-such as we've had previously on Viking River cruises. This Bangkok, Bali & Beyond embarking from Bangkok on November 16, 2018, was a rather dismal journey.
1. The ports and excursions were not that interesting nor enjoyable. The Viking contracted buses were almost shoddy and had no bathrooms (some of the drive times, exceeded 1.5 hours). We ...

Expected a luxury cruise but overall disappointing. No port lectures. Buffet lacked a decent salad bar. Embarkation very challenging for older adults. Very little information on ports too late to really enjoyvisited. Local maps available only after arriving in port. Food in dining room hit or miss.Specialty restaurants disappointing and staff pretentious.Cast shows mediocre. Several excellent ...
Had high hopes as many people have raved about Regent. Even those (titanium level) cruisers agreed that this was not anywhere near the service and quality they advertise.
There was a lot of talk that since Norwegian has taken over, Regent has tried to cut costs and service has gone downhill. I can't speak to this as it was our first cruise with them, but it was not worth the high price ...
This was our third, and last, cruise aboard the Voyager. It seems that new owner Norwegian is determined to bring Regent down to its level. While not terrible, dining room service was nowhere near the standard of other cruises. Two and a half hours for dinner with minimal wine! Thirty minutes for dessert when we told the waiter we wanted to get to the 9:30 show! Ten minutes to get a glass of iced ...
