  3. Viking Orion
What a disappointment Viking proved to be. On a cruise from Bangkok to Bali and beyond thank goodness I got off in Bali and not beyond. The plus was the food was quite good. The penthouse veranda does not live up to its name and lacked even sliding glass doors to the veranda. The ports of call were a bad choice on Vikings part most of which I am sure management never stepped foot onto. The included excursions were pathetic as there was nothing to see in theses container ports in Indonesia yet we only spent one day in Singapore and no overnight and in Bali there was no included excursion, the two highlight ports of the trip. The entertainment was mediocre luckily highlighted with Balinese dancers brought on the ship on the last night. Enrichment lectures lacked spunk and basic information on the ports of call. But if you like seeing reindeer hides, fireplaces, and the guest service dressed in Nordic sweaters while cruising through the tropics then this cruise is for you. Oh did I mention everything was shut down for a couple of days due to Norovirus?

Cabin Review

Cabin 5015
The cabin lacked big sliding windows leaving the feeling that you were in an inside ocean view room. I did not like the design of this cabin at all and would have been better in a regular veranda cabin.
