Buyer beware when booking this ship and itinerary. The selling point of going on 30hrs of flights from th US was that viking was knowledgeable ,had a good handle on the tours and we would be immersed in the culture from Bangkok to Bali .This was NOT the case. For the highlite tours we spent riding around on a bus for over 2 of the 3 to 3.5 hrs with a few photo stops.The vendors of these tours we NOT vetted by viking adequately.The bus routes and stops were not adequate to impart the culture. How many goverment building do you need to see? Where's the beauty and the culture .Some guides you could not hear,some did not speak English clearly enough to understand and one even left behind our friend (who we thankfully found thru what's app).Where was the beauty and culture of Thailand, Singapore, Jarkart,Semarang and Malaysia. Not on this cruise lines itinerary. What a waste of my 30 hrs half way around the world. Therfore if you just looking for good food ,good staff,good ship the Viking Mars Bangkok to Bali is for you. If you want knowledge, beauty,immersion in the culture Do Not Take This Cruise.
