We wanted to go to Alaska and heard this ship was a great ship to go on for Alaskan cruise .. It did not disappoint … must put yourself in vaca mode for Alaskan cruise and slow down …. This studies is def for relaxing. My only complaint are some of the cruisers who can be rude or unaware of themselves … the workers on the ship were very accommodating and the ship was very clean the shows Jersey ...

Love the Bliss Haven but NCL's Post Cruise Assistance is Poor

We chose this cruise because it was close to home and had an itinerary that allowed me to work a bit each day (plus I love Alaska!). Embarkation was super smooth, and the Haven departure lounge was wonderful. The Haven on this ship is the best by far. Service was impeccable, especially in the Haven bar and restaurant. The food was amazing, and we wished we had eaten in the Haven restaurant ...

Great Way to See Alaska, But Make Sure Your Expectations Are Realistic

I feel in the current travel/cruising environment that having appropriate expectations, doing your research, and understanding individual priorities (and picking a cruise line/ship accordingly) is the #1 key to having a good cruise experience. Therefore, this review is lengthy and detailed to clarify not only our experience, but also our expectations and travel priorities. Summary - we had a ...

We've been on quite a few NCL cruises and have enjoyed them all. While this one had some plusses, we enjoyed this far less than any previous cruise (on any line). Below are the pros and cons. ------------------------------------- Good things: Our balcony room was a good size and the decor was soothing. Shower was a good size compared to some NCL ships and the balcony room has nice storage ...

Context: This was our first cruise so I’m sure we made lots of newbie mistakes, but we hope this will be helpful for anyone considering this specific cruise. Here is my review of the NCL Bliss Alaska cruise April 29 to May 6, balcony stateroom on deck 14 with the free at sea package - for your consideration. We don’t shop so I have no shopping advice except to say that if it says “made in ...

Comfortable Cruise But Wouldn’t Recommend

Things I wish I knew before taking the Bliss: 1. When they lose your luggage, make them give you a form. Even if you talk to Guest Services several times and they call the luggage supervisor, nothing gets done until a written form is turned in. Wish we knew that before spending the first day and a half without luggage. 2. The food quality is mediocre. The restaurant food tastes like ...

I've sailed NCL many times, but this was my first time on the Bliss. It is a very large ship and can get crowded in certain places. We were able to work our way around this and never really felt the burden of the large ship and almost 100% capacity, but it takes some planning. The ship is lovely. The crew is great and the food is amazing. Alaska never fails to impress and delight. A couple ...

Overall a pretty Average Alaska Cruise. Easy way to get from SeaTac airport to take the Link from the airport to LENORA STREET AND 4RTH AVE. A $5 LINK RIDE AND EASY WALK to pier 66. 317 yards according to some other websites. Left from Pier 66 in Seattle. Beware Alaskan Way is under construction in close vicinity to the cruise ship. I suggest getting dropped off and picked up a couple ...

Alaska is in my top 3 cruise destinations. It's a wondrous place filled with jaw dropping examples of nature. This cruise left from Seattle and sailed to Sitka, Juneau, Ketchikan, and Victoria. Spring in Alaska still offers snowy views in the mountains. Matter of fact, took the White Pass train ride into the mountains, but couldn't get to the tippy-top because of the amount of snow still on ...
