The representative met us at the airport and took us to the ship. They were very courteous and gave us a mini tour on our way. Once on board we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. Our cabin was very clean and easy to maneuver. Plenty of storage and nice bathroom. Our shore excursions were very good guided tours with plenty of free time to shop, relax and sightsee further. The dining ...

Overall everything was better than I expected, the crew were super friendly and always making sure that you were having a good time. Facilities great. I will travel again with Vikings. Good size cabin for a cruise, we plan in expending time on the deck rather than the room. Food choices were great, excellent breakfast choices. Included excursions where great the guides were very energetic and ...

Yet another excellent Viking experience!

This was our fourth Viking cruise. We decided to take the Grand European Tour as a means of gaining broader knowledge of Europe. Everything about the cruise was great! The site tours were informative and there was sufficient "alone" time for private exploring. We met some great people on board and ended up dining repeatedly with them. By the way, meals are always excellent. The on-board ...

This was our first river cruise after 36 ocean cruises its was for a 50th wedding anniversary, we fly Business class with Viking air and booked a Veranda suite so about 25k cost, the suite has a sitting room and separate bedroom separated by a pocket door which was opaque so the light was not eliminated from the bedroom when shut a big mistake, we had two TV’s but when I would go in the sitting ...

Having cruised on the high seas 15 times, I finally convinced my sister to splurge on a Viking River Cruise. We selected a unique itinerary, Passage to Eastern Europe, figuring it highly unlikely that we visit many of these countries on our own. The itinerary did not disappoint. It was not a trip filled with breathtaking scenery (although there were beautiful stretches along the Danube, ...

We arrived the day the cruise started but would go a couple of days earlier if ever go again, Embarkation was very smooth and the crew were exceptional the ship was very long and low our room was great small but we were only in it at night, The dinning was excellent with choices of sit down dinning or smorgasbord. The food was excellent and lots of it. The wines were great at our meals and the ...

We thought this cruise would offer the "best bang for the buck" and were not disappointed. The only disappointment was the optional tour to the horse farm in Hungry, which did not meet our expectations. I had been on a brief ocean cruise and did not care for it, while I enjoyed every minute on the river boat. We didn't know we were moving unless we looked out the window. The staff was as ...

This was our 2nd Viking cruise, the other being in 2014 in Russia for 14 days was wonderful and exciting, now comes my coparison. This cruise "The Grand European Tour" from Budapest to Amsterdam on the Embla was average at best. We did the pre and post cruise extensions. Lack of local entertainment on board, 2 of which were musical and very nice and a local glass blower who was more about selling ...

Friends recommended this cruise to me. The cruise was fantastic! More than I had expected! I really enjoyed the home tour in Croatia. The staff on board were all from the countries that we were visiting. The tour guides were also from the countries we toured and had also been to the United States at least once! It was so interesting to hear the staff and tour guides' stories. The small ...
