Ports visited on the scheduled route is why we chose this cruise and never cruised on Princess so thought it would be of a higher standard. We were disappointed with several aspects including tendering in 3 ports which took away an hour on either end of touring and the ports were not near the attractions or cities of interest. The food was mediocre. Overall it was not bad but not worth the price ...
Our second cruise with Princess and both in the same cabin, seven years apart. The ship looks well used, inside and out, though it still functions well, thanks to the efforts and boundless enthusiasm of the hardworking crew.
The best place for us on this ship has always been the Piazza. It’s central and has good coffee and cakes for a morning graze whilst you get to watch the world go by, hence ...
Long time cruisers, first time with Princess. We chose this sailing based on itirerary and and a recommendation from a neighbor who has used Princess many times.
We were in London 3 days pre-cruise with our daughter who went to school there and acted as our tour guide. She stayed stayed on in London to visit friends while we departed for the cruise. Had a great 3 days.
We had a glitch ...
We were told the Covid test was free. Then we were suddenly charged £30. By the end of the cruise is went up to £60 each.
The food on Deck 15 was most part warm and catered for the American market.
A lack of information about what was on shore to visit at each Port and misinformation so that deals were purchased from the ship to travel to the destination recommended elsewhere so the ...
Why the above..... because my wife and I with 20 cruises under our belt, and a good percentage with Princess, have today completed what was to be a tester cruise to see if it would be feasible under covid..... Sad to report, much as we love Princess and cruising, ...no ... no no... Why ? Well the ethos has changed, people have changed , enthusiasm and personal interaction has changed, although ...
I was looking fir a British Isles Cruise and princess, who I have sailed with before appeared to be perfect, how wrong was I. Princess have introduced a medallion to assist you around the ship for those that worked I’m sure it helped but if it didn’t it seemed impossible to sort it out. From day one we had nothing but problems. The medallion is meant to unlock your cabin door, mine didn’t and i ...
I chose this cruise for the region and Princess Cruise Line which I have cruised on in Alaska, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. The service and food on the past cruises were very good to excellent. This cruise has been a poor experience on the boat. The food in the dining room has not been very good and service was very slow. I visited the Explorer Lounge twice and had to go to bar to have someone ...
Originally we were to sail in May 2020, but rescheduled to May 2022. We chose the cruise for the ports. We spent a week in London and Southampton prior to the cruise. and due to the Jubilee, we were glad we did.
First the good: unlike other reviews I’ve read, embarkation procedures were pretty organized. Through the Medallion app, I was able to get us to the green lane for boarding. (Weeks ...
This was our first cruise ever. We planned it for over a year. Our first impression was a 5+ hour wait to emabark and have a room. Our room was not clean and ready when we arrived. It was also on the quarantine deck so we had to be rearranged.
The boat looked outdated (but nothing to compare it to, until other seasoned cruisers affirmed this)
The ports and excursions were horribly planned ...
I couldn't wait to start cruising again and get back to some sort of normality. I went with my eyes open, fully expecting covid associated issues, but I totally underestimated things. I hope (and I'm pretty sure) that it's only the Emerald, but this ship is extremely poor.
I'm an 'elite' member, so have made dozens of Princess cruises. I've kept coming back which is an indication of how highly ...
