My husband wanted to experience a humongous cruise ship so we decided to try The Oasis of the Seas. Our first impression was that the cabin seemed noticeably smaller than we've had on other lines, but the boat was nice and well-cleaned. We thought the Park was very nice, and the food was good. The majority of the entertainment seemed to be aimed at much older passengers, and the water was too cold to do any of the really fun excursions (certainly that is not Royal Caribbean's fault, but if you hope to snorkel or otherwise enjoy the water, do NOT cruise in January! And it is very frustrating to look at beautiful water that is too cold for you to enjoy!). Additionally, because of the weather it was not desirable to sit outside or enjoy the water features on the ship - but again, that is a function of the time of year/Mother Nature, and certainly not a reflection on RC. In sum, it was not a fun cruise. The final straw was two experiences (with the hospitality staff and the photo staff) that pretty much soured us on RC. Read Less

We had 5 first time couples on this cruise. All had cruised previously, wanted to try the big ship experience. It was great. We had two Central Park Balconies and three oceanview balconies. Impressed with the size of the room, storage and balcony. Food at the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch was acceptable but not great. They actually totally closed it for two hours once between breakfast and lunch again between lunch and dinner. Food at formal dining was great never was stumped on what to order everyone enjoyed it. The shows were great. Because of the winds they kept cancelling the Aqua theater, but we finally caught it while in port one day. Outdoor movie was pretty salty. They had to close the top deck for sunbathing do to wind. But all in all it was a great experience. The parades and activities on the promenade we a lot of fun. The soda package works great. They have the Coca Cola Free style machines around the ship which makes it easy, you don't have to go the bars to get a refill. Embarkation went very smooth and fast, rooms were open at 1:00 Read Less

Too many people on this ship and the amenities cannot accommodate all of those people. You have to make reservations for all shows or you don't get in until the last minute if there are vacancies. Wait staff lacked energy - everything was a chore for them instead of a positive, make me feel like a queen experience. The room was dirty too. Good thing I brought sani-wipes for the remote, phone, etc. We found a dirty sock under the bed and it had been there a good while. The same television shows were repeated every day! Unbelievable - How many times can you watch the same episode of Mike & Molly? No movies shown in the auditorium while at sea. Movies shown on the last 2 days in the aqua theater, but they are kids movies. Ugh! On a positive note, the food was really good and the entertainment was also great. But, we will be stepping down to a mid-sized ship for our next cruise. Read Less

The ship is huge with lots to do and see our cabin was a great size with a bathroom offering more than ample room to turn around in and dress If you could not find food which was wonderful there was something wrong with you for there was all types of ethnic foods with snacks to formal abounding The entertainment, activities onboard(we won't talk about off board), and services on ship were great, varied, and abounding. The ports offered many excursions and there was sufficient time to explore however there needs to be better communication between those booking (especially the staff online bookings and those booking on the ship). Comments such as a personal opinion reflected in the comments of those loading the busses as to the mobility level of passenger on a special needs trip should never be voiced. I have not been on a great number of cruises but this one was the most efficient I have ever taken in the loading and unloading process. The weather, rocking of the ship and pluming problems we encountered are all just luck of the draw. We did have pluming problems for the most of the trip up to approx. 10 hours of inability to flush the toilet. Overall the trip, the ship, and especially the staff were great. Read Less

We are loyal to Royal and will soon will be Diamond. Our last two cruises were on the Empress of the Seas and loved every minute so we thought it would be cool to go from the smallest to the largest. We were not disappointed. From the embarkation to the disembarkation all went well. One of the things that my wife and I might not do again is to cruise in January. The weather was not all that good. We had some real high seas so they had to cancel some of the shows. That brings me to the entertainment. We both enjoyed Frozen in Time and Come Fly With Me. The ventriloquist act was great. The comedy show was just OK. The venue was small. We were to go to Cats on Sat afternoon and opted out because of what other people were saying and that we would not be able have dinner with our friends. That brings me to our dinning experience. We have done many cruises and this was the best wait staff, from the head waiter Charito Cruz the waiter Pritesh Halankar asst. waiter Remis Ribeiro all were OUTSTANDING. The food like most of the recent cruises we have been on was ok. I think Royal has cut back on the menu as well as the portion size. My wife and I both thought that the Windjammer was predictable, but good. I wanted to try Johnny Rockets and was disappointed but the hot dogs on the boardwalk were outstanding. After a day or two we found the Oasis easy to navigate. We especially liked Central Park. We were both happy with the casino and having a no smoking side. We would like to see no smoking throughout the casino. The only time we felt that there were lots of people was the last day getting off. We both loved the Oasis and will cruise her again. Read Less

This was our first cruise. Therefore we went thru a travel agent to make sure everything would go smooth and be planned. We chose The Oasis of the Seas due to the reputation and it being a large ship. We had been told in the past that the food was awesome. However, this wasn't our experience. The food was awful. I ordered a steak in the dining hall and it just didn't look like a steak at all. The consistency was mushy to say the least. After that dinner, we resorted to going to the Wind Jammer buffet. Again, the food wasn't great, some was cold, others were greasy. Day to day the selection didn't change much. Due to size of the ship, it took alot of time to check on when dining places were open as they would have scattered hours. So if you find something you like, make sure to know where it is and the hours it is open. I asked about the fabulous desserts and seafood that everyone raves about, and never found them. Until we went to one of the pay restaurants, at that time we experienced a good meal and a great dessert. This is the one we had in the 7 days. If you choose to go on this ship, pay for the upscale restaurants. We also had booked shows before the trip as instructed. However, when it comes down to the shows, anyone can go, and you who reserved in advance will have NO where to sit and have to stand for the show. For example, the water show. We also had a bad experience with guest services. I had cancelled my drink package on the second day of the cruise and it took 5 attempts and trips to guest services to get it straightened out. (I had to go down there to get straightened out, while I was sea sick) Also, as said in earlier review, watch your bill. I followed the steps to take for booking dinners at the pay restaurants. It took me 4 times to get a booking set at the place we wanted. Due to the guest services not completing the reservation correctly after 4 attempts, I didn't get my desired dinner time and had to resort to day we were at port instead of a cruising day like I wanted. So we had to rush back from port to get ready for a 5:30 dinner when I wanted a 7:30 dinner on a cruising day. Ports were good, Bahamas was so-so, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten were good, but time there is short and goes to fast. The cleaning person was wonderful, cabin with balcony was nice. Due to the food and customer service not being good, I wouldn't recommend this boat. I have heard great experiences on other cruise lines. Read Less

Cruise was over all good, however some of the service in Coastal Kitchen was below average. Some of the staff were very rude, Bikes in your workout area are in need of repair. Our genie and cabin attendant were great. Bartenders were good but again Coastal Kitchen staff needs help. Three elevators were down when we were on board and Main dining for lunch which was buffet was terrible. It took to long to get thru the line and there was no plates when you did make it to receive your food. I was on the same ship back in September and never had the problems from the staff that we experienced on this past cruise. I took people with me and some of the staff made me feel embarrassed that I had sold them on the cruise. Still we had a good time but was a little disappointed overall. Will go on another cruise, but for what I paid it was a little bit of a let down. Read Less

WE chose this cruise becasue of the ship. The best things about this ship was the speciality restaraunts. The service, food and artmosphere was wonderful. The dining room however was unsatisfactory. The wait staff were great but the food was cold, and took a long time to arrive. The dress standards of short shorts, tank tops and jeans on formal night was really insulting, So many "my time diners" would burst in and take tables and disrupt the flow of the dining room experience. In my opinion, they should have all been turned away to eat at the windjammer or first floor "my time". My biggest complaint on all ships is children running all over the place. You have set aside a chiildrens area, but no children are ever in it! They are always in the adult areas eating and using hot tubs. We cruise to get away from children, and there is never enough adult space. If the family wants a cruise, visit a Disney ship or set a ship aside for family or limit the amount of small children. WE have had to move cabins in the past due to crying babies next door. Activites and cruise staff were excellent! Read Less

We enjoy more days at sea and eastern Caribbean. This time of the year was perfect for our college age daughter's vacation. It was a bit expensive but we were excited about going on Oasis of the Seas. I wish wifi & drink packages would be tailored more for family expenses. The food was great, the entertainment was ok, we attended most of the offered events. It was pretty windy during this week so we didn't experience the aqua show. Our wait staff was great. Overall wonderful experience with Royal Caribbean. Pretty good reputation that you can be loyal with. I would recommend this ship/line to family and friends. The shops were not plentiful as I would have hoped, expected. The shop offerings were ok. Interested in rings but only carried size 7, needed size 9 and wasn't interested to get it sized later. I wonder why they stock only one size? Read Less

The ship is BEAUTIFUL..the staff is great..you cant control weather..having said that: The shore excursion to the Bahamas (Blue Lagoon Beach) was a long boat ride only to be on a beach that looks like a bay (the water is not anywhere close to the normal beauty of Bahamas water)..you only get about an hour of beach time, the lunch attendants watch to make sure you dont get too much food (after youve paid a crazy amount of money), and then its suddenly time to turn right back around and go back! Most of your time is spent in line to get on the boat to and from..overall, the excursions proved to be very disorganized and slow getting started--not worth the money--Abi beach did turn out to be nice, though, once you arrived. The problem with the specialty resteraunts, in particular Chops (with exception of 150 Central Park which is excellent in every way), is the fact that you are seated sandwiched in between other tables that could whisper in your ear without much effort. The table we got put next 2 NEVER stopped talking the entire time..we were miserable--food is good, but if you want a romantic quiet dinner, do not go here. Overall, we had a great time. The ship is one of the best out there, and the staff goes out of their way for you. I would say that being more informed about the resteraunts and excursions would have made this the perfect vacation! I love Royal Caribbean. Read Less

We chose this cruise on the recommendation of our TA. I did want to cruise on one of the largest cruise ships in the world. The entertainment, pools, excursions and service were all terrific. I am an optimist, and I must say this ship lived up to my expectations and more Getting there: We travelled to Calgary with an overnight stay at La Quinta Inn Orlando Airport West-I would give this hotel 2 stars out of 5. It was dated, may of been better in hot weather as the outdoor pool looked inviting. Arriving at Calgary airport we had to call the hotel for shuttle pick up..waited about 20 minutes. Note* there are two La Quinta Inn's-we were shuttled to the wrong hotel to start. At our hotel there is 'Fish on Fire' restaurant-a local joint with live entertainment-food was decent and inexpensive. Shuttle to airport was on time, we prepaid for return-but ended up getting an excursion on our last day in Florida (included airport drop off), ended up not needing the return shuttle to airport we had paid for already. Embarkation: We arrived at cruiseport @11am (11:30 was earliest we were allowed to board). We were through security and on the ship by 11:40. We went exploring starting on the pool deck. (avoided the promenade). Rooms were ready by 1pm. There were very few announcements on this ship. I read somewhere that the rooms would be ready by 1pm..so we tried our door..and we were in. First night: I thought I would be all over watching sailaway-I have to admit-we didn't see one! There is so much happening on this ship you have to pick and choose what you would like to see/do. I did pre purchase 'First night done right' dining. We choose to go to Chops Grille-I never had confirmation of this experience, so was unsure how it worked. After checking with main dining room statt (who saw no record of this on our account), I ended up going to Chops to book a reservation after confirming that yes we did have the 'First night' coupon. We paid $20 each and had a FABULOUS dinner (steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus). We prepaid gratuities, but planned to give extra tips when we received great service. We ended up tipping $20 for our meal. Beverage package: We don't drink alcohol, so we purchased the replenishment package. Included fresh squeezed OJ (ask your server), pop, bottled water, Frappachino with whipped cream (café promenade), virgin Pina Colada (a personal favorite-I must of had 15 of these at least!), virgin caeser. Note* you can ask for bottled water at the bars (taqueria by the aqua theatre), and at the windjammer (from your table server). I had a non alcoholic cocktail at dinner when we were in the main dining room-our server Venkata knew my drink of choice and would have it ready and waiting for me. I never use the cups provided with the package as drinks are available everywhere. I did notice the pop dispensing machine at Café promenade was popular (have to use the cup that comes with the drink package) Excursions: Nassau-we were at Paradise Island Jan 2016, so we decided to check out the pools/solarium while people were of the ship. St Thomas-St John Coastal cruise and National Park Landmarks. Unfortunately it was a rough sea day. 45 minute ferry ride to St. John, then a 1 hour boat tour of the beaches of St John (we did get wet and it was a cool day!). Back to land and a 1.5 hour tour of St. John by taxi (a suburban with open seats at the back). This was interesting and informative. The roads are super narrow, so not for timid travelers :-). We had time to grab lunch from a Bistro about 100 ft from the Ferry Launch. Was expensive but delicious (we were hungry)! $12 for a turkey sandwich. 45 minute ferry back to the ship-less waves and didn't get wet so enjoyed this ride! The guides were throwing around names of some of the huge houses we passed while on the ferry in St. Thomas..Michael Jordan's place, Madonna and Oprah Winfrey-take it for what it is..unconfirmed. St Maarten-this was my favorite island excursion. 'Sightsee Marigot & Beach Getaway'. We had a 2 hour guided bus tour by 'Delicious' Gregory-he gave us lots of interesting info. We had 2 hours to shop in Marigot (I'm not a big shopper-we strolled the shoreline looking at yachts and iguanas sunning themselves). There is a central public washroom which is handy, and lots of street vendors and retail stores. Even if you sit at one of the restaurants and watch the crazy drivers you will be entertained! There are no stop signs..huh! We went to Orient beach for 1.5 hours (there is a regular beach, and a nude beach to the right). It's a beautiful spot-green water, hang gliders, rainbows, white-white sand. With the tour we had beach umbrellas/loungers reserved for us, and a complimentary fruit or rum punch. I could of stayed at this beach all day-it was great! Pools/Solarium: The solarium was by far my favorite spot. I didn't care for the wicker loveseat chairs right at the front of the ship, but did enjoy the wicker chairs with foot rests by the whirlpools. In the solarium there are 2 warm (not hot) whirlpools and one very cool pool..brrr.. Before you enter the Solarium there are two fabulous whirlpools with great views when the ship is docked. Pools-DH tried the beach pool. He doesn't mind a cold pool. Most of the pools I tried were cold..so I just used the whirlpools. Favorite spot to relax on ship: Deck five aft (this is the running track deck)-has chairs for you to watch the wake-I spent many hours here. Shows/Tours: I heard that RCI OOTS had top notch entertainment-the best on the seas. I believe this is true. We were never disappointed with any show, the shows do sell out, standby were out of luck-so book before you cruise. We tried to arrive 1/2 hour before show start to ensure we could choose where to sit. They will open up all the seats 10-15 minutes before the show starts-so even if you reserve a spot..if you arrive late you may not have space left for you. Frozen in time-seas were rough and rocky-the show did go on! Performers were very good, story was interesting. Was a lot of fun to watch. I don't think there are bad seats at this venue All Access Ship Tour: DH took this tour on our last RCI cruise, and again on this cruise. He found them quite similar, but enjoyed it again-worth the money to see 'how the ship works' Engineering was his favorite! Headliner: Ron Mann-ventriloquist (performs in Vegas). Was funny and well done Oasis of the Seas-Diving and acrobatic water show (at Aqua theatre at rear of ship). I was in awe of this performance. There were acrobats in the air, trampoline, high (very high) divers, synchronized swimmers-was truly amazing to watch this show. Come Fly with me-Production show with aerial acrobatics, singing, dancing. I enjoyed this one-lots of talent Stand up Comedy Show-I booked this show well before our cruise, the only time left was midnight! We are early to bed people. I tried a few times to get an early spot-no luck. Also no luck with the standby line (people who had tickets did show up for this show). We ended up going to the midnight show-I loved it-2 great comedians. Cats-I had never seen this show before. I read that many people will leave during intermission as it is a longer show 2.5 hrs. We hung in there for the entire show and I must say the second set was definitely worth the wait. I had tears-very well done by these performers. Kennedy Space Center VIP Tour (with airport drop off)-I booked this just before we cruised (our flight wasn't until 5:40pm) It was amazing to see these shuttles up close. Lots of history and also plans for the future. There is a bit of walking, but nothing too strenuous. There was a good lunch spot at the Apollo center. Food: Favorite spots (free unless noted otherwise) American Icon grill-breakfast Johnny Rockets-breakfast Room Service-breakfast (all meals are complimentary-small charge from midnight to 3am) Boardwalk dog house Sorrento's pizza (will make you gluten free with 8 minute wait) Dining Room (ate here 5 out of 7 nights) Café Promenade-cheese cake pops, Frappuccino Chops Grille-$$ very good Giovanni's Bistro-$$ (we had a coupon for free lunch that came with booking a balcony in CP). They made a special GF pasta for me-food was very good. Did not have time to try: Park café (did go in a couple times, seemed busy), Solarium Bistro, Vitality Spa Overall I think this ship is very impressive. The ship was immaculate, the service was consistently good. The entertainment was first class. This was a trip of a lifetime for us, we enjoyed every minute of it Read Less

The ship was fantastic. My family had a great time and everyone on the ship was very friendly. The shows were outstanding!! Best we have ever seen. But you do need reservations. My husband couldn't get into the comedy club because they were booked solid. They should have put it in a bigger place so more people could enjoy. The diving show was spectacular! I wasn't too fond of the cruise director - aren't they usually funny and show personality?? And the bingo lady - no jokes at all - just called the numbers. Guess I was looking for a laugh here and there. The food was only so so. I was surprised that the main dining room charged extra if you wanted filet mignon or lobster. One night my son wanted a NY strip steak because he didn't care for anything else on the menu and they said he couldn't get one, but could pay $19.99 for filet mignon that night. Also, the specialty restaurants charged just as much as if dining in a fine restaurant in NY. I thought we already paid for food and that there should be a minimal charge - not $75/pp for Chops (too expensive for ship dining). Other specialty restaurants charged more. Lastly, the pool area was just a pool. I didn't see any fun things going on around the pool - no big screen, live bands, or contests. The cruise was great and my family really enjoyed it! We enjoyed St. Maartin the most. Found a resort with a beach and restaurants 5 minutes from ship. Walked around San Juan and couldn't wait to get back on the ship. Saw a lot of stray cats walking to the Fort. Labadee was also good. Beach and food from the ship and many excursions to pick from. Read Less

We selected this cruise for the new year venue and the ship itself. We watched the Oasis be put together on the Discover channel and wanted to experience it firsthand. The crew we dealt with were so friendly and knowledgeable. By the end of the cruise, we felt like "family" and didn't want to leave them. We will return to the Oasis and visit our newly found friends again. We booked all of the shows and had wonderful seats. We even returned to see one of the shows twice. We experienced the zip lines in St. Kitts and on Labadee. The zip line in St. Kitts had 5 different lines and took about 1 hour and a half and the staff SKB and Cheesecake were wonderful and so much fun, it was worth the money, however, the zip line on Labadee was one long ride over the water and was NOT worth the 99.00. You should have been able to ride it at least twice. It was a 1 minute ride. Read Less

When that didn't work he went ahead and charged 250 dollars to our account cause he claimed he found ashes on our balcony. Good luck keeping your privacy and your money. Nice ship though. The food is good, the excursions are decent but you can get off the sip and find your own excursions just as easy. Little rocky on the way down but its to be expected during this season , once we were in the caribean the cruise was smooth and the weather was great. We chose this cruise for the ports of call! St. Kitts, St. Marteen, Puerto Rico & Labadee, Haiti were all beautiful! Our state room was warm at night, tried twice to get issue resolved but it was never resolved. Embarkation was total chaos from drop off, security & check in. Debarkation was better, but could not find our private transportation & any staff I ask at the terminal was no help at all! We usually cruise out of Galveston (closer to home) and have always had a smooth embarkation & debarkation. Perhaps Port Canaveral should take some lessons from Galveston? We pre-ordered online before we left the discounted wifi package but was not showing on our account. I recommend if you pre-book anything do not do online, call customer service to order. Cruise terminal 1 in Port Canaveral is fantastic! On board the Oasis of the Seas, the food was plentiful and good (as usual). The size of the ship created inconvenient lines, occasional loss of food options (first day out, they ran out of chocolate chip cookies) and "Central Park" balcony was very noisy at times (couldn't hold a normal conversation, and and not very private (lesson learned). Cabin storage for an 8 day cruise was inadequate making room seem cramped. Didn't do many shore excursions as we are frequent cruisers and have done most of the ship sponsored offerings. The zip line on Labadee was, however, a great experience. The shows were exceptional. Not only entertaining, but the athletic nature of most shows (not just the normal singing and dancing shows) on ice, in the water and on the huge stage were Olympic class. Will definitely cruise again with Royal Caribbean but not so big a ship and with outside balcony. Read Less

Sixth cruise (5 on Royal Caribbean). Sailed on the Allure two years ago, so looked forward to the Oasis. To begin, the embark at Port Canaveral was fine but was told that was because we arrived there at 11am. Our rooms were ready by 1pm. Problems started. We had 2 Boardwalk balconies and 1 ocean-facing balcony on the 14th floor. The package stated we would have 2 soda beverage packages were Boardwalk balcony. When we got into the rooms, one room had 1 beverage cup and the other had none. Also, there were 2 brown kiki-type plastic beverage containers in each Boardwalk. We didn't know what those were. Turned out, we FINALLY found someone who could answer our question and they were a promotion. If you used them, you were automatically charged $3.95. No signage on them to indicate this and everyone we asked had no idea what we were referring to. We asked FOUR times to have the balconies between the rooms opened. It finally took a trip to guest services to get it done. Our room attendant kept assuring us it would be taken care of. It was not. Our ocean balcony had barely any water pressure and the safe wasn't working. A quick call to maintenance and they fixed both (maintenance is awesome). The staff at Johnny Rockets for breakfast were rude and lazy. They seemed more interested in conversing and joking with each other than with serving the customers. The food in the MyTime dining. HOW DISAPPOINTING. I agree with the other reviews that state RC is cutting costs with their food. I have never been disappointed with an entree, but one night I ordered the beef stroganoff and it was horrible. Inedible. It was gnarly pieces of cut up steak-like meat that you could barely chew through. I then ordered the pad thai. It wasn't even pad thai! It was some sort of strange noodle with a ton of fish sauce on it. I couldn't eat either. The soups were amazing, but the entrees were disappointing. A lot of cheap pasta and slow-cooked beef. The lobster tails were maybe 2-3 inches in length. VERY small and not tasty. The other major disappointment was the headliner. Usually we enjoy a magician or something....nope this time we had to suffer through an aged group singing ABBA songs. The Cats musical was something to look forward to, but most people walked out of it. The fitness center had a lot of broken equipment, but the fab abs instructors were great! Read Less

We chose Royal Caribbean Cruise line because of past experiences. We were disappointed on the oasis ship. We booked a large Superior Stateroom w/Balcony. Cabin was small compared to other cruises and there was not enough draw space for 2 people. quality of linens, towels and pillows were worn and over used. bathroom smelled of mildew and shower water pressure was barely enough to remove soap from hair and body. We purchased the unlimited alcohol and beverage package so we would not be nickeled and dimmed, and at most of the Bars and restaurants we were told there was additional charges for drinks whether it was for wine or Alcohol and additional gratuities on those up charges. Also on all other cruises we have been on when purchasing the beverage package you in room fridge was at least stocked with water and this was empty. The specialty steak restaurant Chops had an up charge of $42pp to dine and upon ordering a porterhouse steak and not the regular house steak we were told there was an additional charge of $19. We would not mind paying for good quality food but steak was of of extremely poor quality and the meat was tough. Overall this was not the Royal Caribbean Vacation Experience we expected. Read Less

I have been a loyal Royal Caribbean (RC) cruiser. I have had all (almost) great experiences with RC. I have always wanted to go on the Oasis or more resently the Harmony. The Oasis worked better with my schedule and what I had planned. I had planned to get my family and extended family together to go on a cruise together. So, after much planning (and I do mean a whole lot of planning over a eleven month period) all twelve of us went on the Oasis. We stayed in the Junior Suites (four of them). The suites were very nice and the room attendent (Deni) was great! We met with Carla (in guest services) to work out a folio issue. She was super friendly, very helpful and resolved the issue. We met with Margo (events director - I think), she was great, super cheerful and very personable. We ate in main dining in the Grande (5:30). Our main waiter (Vishal) was amazing! However, the food was not. The menu was very limited, the ravioli was under cooked (as in doughy, like raw), the rack of lamb was raw - not medium rare, the temperatures were off. Ben & Jerry's ice cream was regularly out of three of the eight flavors and the waffle maker was broke. The cup cakes tasted like they had been frozen and were dried out. We had better food at the hot dog stand. When I needed to cancel an excursion, the main (older man with grayish hair) was rude. When I wanted a couple of bottles of water and ordered them from the Pub bar tender he was rude - maybe because we had a drink package, I don't know. The onboard show? Who knows, we didn't get to see over half of them. We didn't make reservations in advance and no seating was available. I don't see why more show times could not have been offered so that more people could attend. The size of the theater looks about the same as on the Liberty or even the Brilliance, but the amount of guests have almost doubled. If they don't increase the size of the theater - they should double or triple the amount of times of the number of performances in order to accommodate the added guests. For such a huge ship and such a great company - this ship was a disappointment for us. We all (the 12 of us and some other guests that we spoke with) agreed that perhaps the size of the ship has caused some of the staff to get complacent and loose their passion. So, we will go on another Royal Caribbean cruise but probably not ever go on the Oasis again. Now and because of the experience on the Oasis, I am rethinking my desire to go on the Harmony. Read Less

We've been on about 8 times and always good although Royal has cut back on C&A benefits. We remember having lunch in the Diamond Concierge lounge with a glass of wine-no more. Royal started adding fresh cookies on Day 1 in stateroom, we preferred the prepackaged and healthier almonds and shortbread cookies. Our Diamond Concierge hostess Beatrice was excellent as were our Cabin steward Dimitri and main dining room deck 5 wait staff Kevron and Natalia. Wish Johnny Rockets allowed carry out for breakfast and Broadway show only ran for a year and then offer a new show. We found getting on and off ship excellent and entertainment was outstanding. We like the rapid self departure. The Cruise Critic event was nice but scarcely attended. We continue to see limited shipboard tv news and wish Fox News could be offered to offset the liberally biased CNN and HLN channels. Over 80% of passengers are American, please try to be more inclusive. Read Less

Just got back from an 8 day New Years cruise on Oasis. My wife and I were in 1720 Sky Loft and our family was in 11196 Balcony. Embarkation was very easy as our Concierge Genie met us in the Suite Area and escorted us to our room at 10:45. Our Genie Smitha made all our dinner and show reservations. Also included was the Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen. Coastal Kitchen was a great option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and the service was very good there. 150 Central Park was outstanding. Giovanni's Table was also good but very loud. We ate at Chop's Grill two nights and did not think it was up the standard of other Royal Caribbean ships. We never graced the dining room, or thank goodness the dreaded Windjammer. St Kitts - Took a taxi to Cockleshell Beach. Nice beach, fairly rustic but nice views. Several restaurants. St. Maarten - Took cab to Orient Beach. Been there several times. Lots of restaurants and bars and good beach areas. San Juan - Walked around Old San Juan. Neat area. Labadee - Rented an over water cabana in the suite area. Was really a great time! Great service and good food there. Never waited for drinks or any service. Overall the cruise was an incredible time. Grandkids of 5 and 1 had an incredible time. Kids programs were great and nursery was always available for the little one. Cats was terrible. Ice show was amazing. Quest was very funny and not something to miss. Water show was great. Headliner ABBA lookalikes were ok. Our kids hated them as they had never heard the songs. Parade with characters last night was great for the kids. Getting off was amazing as our Genie walked us off at 7:30am and we were through Customs in two minutes. Whole process on and off was incredible. Read Less

Positives Great staff to get us on and off the boat in Canaveral. It went so smooth. Amazing ship and crew. There were a couple of crew members that really made it special for our group. Vishal, Kent, Jemelito who took care or us at the Dinning table every night. Deni was such an amazing room attendant. Carla was so helpful at guest services. Cruise Director Drew and Activities Manager Margot were great. Enjoyed the job you and the staff did with The Quest. What a blast!! My teen boys had a great time with the Teen program and other activities on the ship. The shows I made it to were great. Really enjoyed the ship tour on the last day. Labadee walking tour guide Lamy was amazing!! I wish the tour was longer with him. He really made this my favorite excursion. Negatives I did not enjoy the food in Main Dining. Taste and just not cooked well. Menu choices were lacking compared to my other cruise on the navigator. So the terrible score below on dining is due to the FOOD not the staff that served us. Room service had a really hard time making a burger without onions or cheese and even wrong the burger was not very appealing. Had to order 3 on night before it was at least made with the right options. My teenager was not thrilled. Sorrentos Pizza needs help. Wish there were more show times offered The fountain under the rising tide bar while it is nice to watch it's just too loud. Labadee - our Adrenalin excursion was cancelled - Bummer that looked fun. Also my Teenage boys did the Labadee water park and said it was too crowded and left early. I think the next cruise will be back on a smaller ship. Bigger might not be better and I wonder if that is why the main dinning food was a miss for me. Margot said she reads these. I believe her. It was a pleasure to meet you and thanks for all you do.
