The ship traveled to areas I want to visit. Have taken Viking cruise before and found it to be a great value with excellent service. Everything was well organized. Planning the trip was easy and everything went smoothy including flights and getting settled on the ship. Staff very helpful. Food and amenities excellent. Included tours informative with good guides. Loved seeing Monet's home and ...
This was my 5th cruise with Viking. Three wonderful meals a day, beer and wine with lunch and dinner, shore excursions, air and airport transfer all included, I don't think you can beat the price.
The Kadin has an amazing staff. Our wait staff remembered every detail of my reds. The knew I loved the chef's eggs benedict and made sure it was ready for me each morning, even when it was not on ...
Had a wonderful time.....enjoyed every minute of it! Staff, meals, room excellent! Shore excursions and guides very knowledgeable. Everyone was always friendly and went out of their way to ensure you were completely satisfied. Layout of ship was awesome making it a pleasure to just sit on the deck and enjoy traveling down the river. Easy to find your way around after a few missteps (right ...
We choose this cruise as a better reward and adventure to ourselves. Viking did most of the logistical planning including air flights, meeting us at the airport, bringing us to the ship, along with many other niceties that impressed us so very much. Each meal was excellent, service again excellent the staff and crew also excellent.
The ports and excursions were well planned and went without a ...
We spent three days in Paris before embarkation and we had a great time. We celebrated my wife's birthday with supper at the Eiffel tower and a boat cruise on the Seine River. My wife was interested in castles and we were able to visit six of them during our cruise.
My father was a veteran of WWII who landed on D-Day and we visited the beaches of Normandy.
We visited Monet's gardens on ...
We wanted to experience a more intimate, friendly cruise experience. We have grown tired of the big, mega ships with thousands of passengers. The meals were of top quality and a highlight of each evening. The ship staff were always polite and willing to help with any question s we had. The excursions were right on. They were long enough so we could enjoy the locale that we were visiting and ...
The cruise was beautiful and the side trips was wonderful. The Normandy trip was particularly heartwarming. I had a number of uncles who were in the invasion during D-day. The American Cemetery and the landing on Omaha beach brought tears to my eyes.
The food was very good, but needed more French food. The service was exceptional. However, the room was very tight with almost no room to ...
This was my first cruise and my second trip to Europe. My sister and I went on this cruise together and we both found it truly remarkable. The food, the service, the excursions, everything was beyond my expectations. I loved the crew on the Kadin. They saw to every need with a smile. The chef was truly outstanding. I've never had such delicious food.
We were so enthralled by the ...
It had exactly what we wanted. Several days in Paris before the trip, Paris itself, some usual tourist stops with a guide, the small town stops on the seine, and Normandy Beaches. History from Joan of Arc to D Day.
Great ship, staff, etc.
A family tragedy at home cut our trip short by a day, and the staff could not have been more supportive and helpful. Did their best to care of us. 1st ...
We had never done a river cruise and Viking had a good rating and reviews. Our only real complaint is that Viking booked our flight with Delta - DFW to Atlanta to Paris. Our experience in the Atlanta airport was horrendous. We had an 18 hour layover because Delta couldn't seem to get a plane in to Atlanta that was not in need of repair. We were totally exhausted when we reached Paris. We ...
