MSC can do better
"30pm each night and we got lucky with a table for 2 which was our request, the ship was only 50% or so fall around 3500 people we was told, MSC decided to open all 4 dining rooms which seemed overkill, the outcome of this was the service was less than efficient, waiting an age for drinks orders, food was bland, tasteless and the cheaper end of things, MSC seems to be cutting costs here as when an Italian ship messes up cooking Lasagne you know there are bigger issues.50 a glass, service was also sporadic, there is a bar on the ship (Champagne Bar, 6 Mid) where most of the drinks menu costs more than the £13 allowance for the package, again smacks of MSC trying to extract more cash from guests...."Read More

Exceptional service, great destinations

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Chose this cruise to experience luxury cruising on a budget. This cruise gave us the ability to experience small ship luxury features while still being able to access large ship entertainment, facilties and interaction with thousands of other cruisers if we wished to. We stayed in a deluxe balcony (YC1) with a front facing cabin. The Virtuosa Yacht Club is an exclusive enclave of around 160 ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Will never go on this ship again - cue to get on (2 hours) cue to get a coffee in the buffet. No seats. Says there are 17 restaurants. Yes -but only 3 that you can use or pay more. Bars the same -always crowded with no seats and almost no waiter service. The evening shows were a joke -but not funny. 30 mins and that was the big show. 6000 passengers , theatre holds 650 at a time. 3 shows per ...

This was actually my third trip on the MSC Virtuosa. The first was a round UK one during covid and was a strange, too quiet experience with skeleton staff. Next was a short cruise with my 17 year old grand daughter last year- much more fun, but the service at bars etc was really poor and slow. but this cruise offer of a 15 night all inclusive with a balcony, visiting France, Spain and Morocco, for ...

MSC Virtuosa NEVER AGAIN. CAUGHT NOROVIRUS AND WERE TREATED LIKE DIRT

This is not the first time we have been on the Virtuosa but will definatly be the last. The last cruise was so bad that were were given a discount on a further cruise. Wish we hadnt gone back on. First we caught gastroenterities - norovirus on board, then were treated like dirt by guest relations etc.Had to be put in isolation for over half our cruise. We had to stay on the ship from the start to ...

I booked this cruise almost 12 months in advance for myself and wife also a cabin for my daughter and her partner. I had a senior moment when booking and used my daughters ex partners surname on the booking. The christian name was correct and also the DOB. I called to change the surname when I realised some two weeks later. We are still talking some 11 months from sail date and got charged £50 ...

Casablanca Morocco

First time I have sailed on any MSC Cruise Ship and the trip to Casablanca was an ideal time to escape the miserable UK weather. MSC Virtuosa is a magnificent ship, the interior is stunning with bars, restaurants and shopping malls making you believe you were still on land and not actually at sea. The nightly 'light' entertainment involving the Dome area was superb and something which I have ...

Beautiful ship, but shame about the extra costs and bar service

We chose MSC as had friends sail on their ships before. We booked at a great price, as we were travelling as a family of 4, so tried to keep our costs down. The ship is stunning and customer service was extremely impressive, EXCEPT for the bars. Each bar seemed massively understaffed (one even ran out of glasses), and ignored you unless you were sitting right in front of them. We didn’t purchase a ...

Loved the ship , staff were excellent , shows to an exceptional standard, with good variety . Very clean everywhere , lots going on if you want it . Had a fab holiday and would recommend . We couldn’t get a balcony cabin and had an inside one, it was spacious but didn’t like not having daylight . Wardrobes are small and no drawers except two small in the wardrobe itself. Bed very ...

Just got back from an amazing two weeks. Yes the ship has a lot of people on board but everything was well organised. Embarkation was easy & on the ship drinks cocktails by 11am. Always got a sunbed (compromise on location sometimes), always got into the theatre, pop up bars & roaming bar staff made getting a drink easy! Yes couldn't always get a seat in chosen bar at peaks times so went to ...

The worst cruise and holiday ever, ever

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

User Avatar

OMG was this ship over packed with people and because of that it was honestly the worst cruise and the worst holiday we've ever been on. The ship itself is lovely with lots of facilities for family and children but the food was awful and there were queues everywhere for everything. Anything that you could buy was super expensive. Eg in the chocolate shop a single tiny Belgium chocolate was £2 ...
