Very comfortable cruise overall. it's a fair size ship so it can be crowded so if you prefer a more intimate experience this is not for you. Having said that, we were able to find our own space and keep our privacy when we chose. Dine as you wish worked a treat! We did room service breakfast alot and it was great. We work out and the gym more than satisfied our needs. plenty of food and dining ...
We have cruised with celebrity 5 times and chose this for the itinerary.
I was a little worried to change lines but we were very impressed with the Koningsdam in most areas.
The ship is very modern and light, kept beautiful by staff who are always cleaning.
Fellow passengers mostly American,Canadian and Australian.
The public areas - lovely lounges, 2 small pools with hot tubs ( one ...
We are 4-star Mariners on HAL, but we are also frequent users of other cruise lines, so it had been two years since we sailed on HAL. The Koningsdam was our first time on one of the line's newer, larger ships. We like smaller ships, but we were looking for an Adriatic cruise, and we liked the ports of call on this cruise. In the end, we did not find the Koningsdam too big for our taste, but we ...
This cruise fit our time and budget. We also like HA cruises as we find them slightly better than the other cruise lines. HA is one of the few that sails into Glacier Bay, which is a highlight of the cruise. i would not cruise to Alaska without going to Glacier Bay.
The food and service was excellent. There was a minor issue with the balcony divider that rattled, which they fixed - they also ...
We went on this cruise because Max Lacado and Matthew West were on it as part of a package. We typically cruise on Carnival, so keep that in mind with this review.
Cabin: we had an aft balcony, 7134. We liked it. It had enough storage space in the closet and shelves in the closet. The bed was comfortable. And there were two night stands with drawers in them.
Dining: The food was fine. I ...
Just returned from our fourth time on the MS Eurodam. First things first, Eurodam is a great ship and still in really good condition. She is well worth a trip to any destination. The cabins are in good shape, as well as all of the public areas.
The employees aboard all HAL ships, and in this case Eurodam, always go above and beyond to make sure that your cruise is the best it can possibly be. A ...
This cruise was booked last minute at a reasonable price. I had been to Alaska several times before, but my first time solo. Since I found it more cost effective to take the HAL shuttle to the ship, I followed the directions on my paperwork and contacted a HAL employee near baggage claim. They directed me to an area where I dropped off my luggage. It was quite a walk out of the airport, across ...
My wife chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Nineteen ports in 25 days was the determining factor. The interior of the ship is a different design than most ships we have cruised. The music theme throughout puts a music alley on the second level. Four entertainment rooms each with a different musical genre encompass this level. Then main stage too is different. It is theater in the round ...
Embarkation:
There were many HAL employees at Rome Airport waiting for arriving passengers. For the most part, things were well-organized. In Civitavecchia, check-in was smooth.
Cabin:
Well appointed, decent (not overwhelming) amount of storage space. One of the best showers I’ve had in a long time. Toilet did face an odd way, forcing some “repositioning”. Bed was very comfortable, ...
I'd have given this cruise an overall raging of 5 were it not for HAL cheating out on food, service and entertainment.
Food was almost always JUST warm. No flavour and boring, I brought my own garlic powder is that's an indication. Wine staff are ill equipped to offer any advice and are mostly bored with the job. We usually like to attend the Sip and Savour but after one, we stayed away ...
