This was my 58th cruise and 13th RCCL cruise and 2nd cruise on Navigator ( also did last April) both times in a Grand Suite.
We flew in from Dallas to Houston/hobby the night before and stayed at the Doubletree Hobby which is a very nice hotel with a decent restaurant and nice bar/lounge.

Arrived at Bush Int'l in Houston and had reserved a car to take us to the port. We didn't want to wait for a bus to fill up to get going. We used ExecuCar and it was as expected. Getting to the cruise terminal once you are in the port area is a big pain - a lot of traffic and not very organized. This was my 4th cruise on the Navigator, my 13th cruise with RCCL ships, and my 1st cruise as a Diamond member. Overall this was a pleasant cruise, a big improvement over last year. The ship was clean and the crew was great. We had a balcony cabin on the hump, Deck 8. Great location near the stairs and elevators.

My girlfriend and I had reservations across from the Johnson Space center at the Microtel hotel, some 40mins away from the port. A room there seemed a better cost effective option than anything on the island. So on Saturday April 18, we drove down from Arkansas. We have cruised out of Galveston many times and have always been very pleased with the ease of embarkation. This cruise was no different. Easy embarkation as well as disembarkation.
This was our first cruise on the NOS, but have sailed on sister ship Voyager OS. We love the design of the ship. Easy to get around. Promenade was always fun to stroll through and people watch.

The Navigator of the Seas is a beautiful ship. There were a few spots showing age, like the peeling paint on the balcony, but generally, the ship was very well maintained throughout.

RCCL's Navigator has something for everyone! The activities are plentiful and non-stop, with lots of choices! We loved the sports deck, the music trivia,the ice skating show, karaoke and the Beatlemania performance! We enjoyed the poolside band, "Ridden Wave" and the games.
