I have to say, this was our best cruise ever. I think the main reason we had such a good time is due to planning, eliminating the things we knew we didn't like and slowing down to enjoy ourselves. We were a little concerned at first because we were detained getting on the ship due to norovirus but once they let us on everything seemed to be fine. There was no line at the port when we got there and went through registration quickly but they stopped letting people in right after we got there. We started our morning by using room service for breakfast. They always called to let us know the food was on the way and being greeted by a cheerful voice always set the stage for the day. The gentleman who brought our food, Herbert, was so happy! When we asked for something special it was always there! Our first dinner in the main dining room did not go so well. We were seated by ourselves at a table for eight in a corner. The assistant server seemed to be in a daze and he was unable to reach us. We had to stretch to get water refills and hand him our plates across the table when we were finished eating. We were moved to a table for two on the other side of the dining room. We had Eri and Keylash and they were great! We did hear from someone else that the assistant server from the night before was gone. The last night at the main dining room, they servers performed two songs and it was just wonderful! We did not eat any meals in the Windjammer except for lunch when we first boarded and breakfast for our last day. We visited the Cafe Promenade for tea, coffee and water frequently! We had an excursion to the Good Hope House along with rum tasting and a horse and buggy ride. It was so disorganized that we never got the horse and buggy ride. We told them at the excursion desk and received a partial refund on both our tickets. I really did not expect that. The Playa Mia excursion was fun. The beach is rocky so if you go make sure you wear water shoes to walk in the water. The food there was really good, too! The shows were great and the Ice Show is a must. The lady with the hula hoops was incredible. It's one of those things you have to see to believe! There was a singer, Jerome Bell, who had been a sem-finalist on American Idol. He was really good, too! We got off the ship in an orderly manner. Our bags were picked up during the night and were right there when we got to our number. We had a porter pick up our bags and he took us right through customs with no problems at all. We were through and on our way in no time! A lot of people tried to carry their own bags and go through customs. That line was really long. It is worthwhile to pay the porter!

We had a wonderful time!

Cabin Review

The room was nice and comfortable. The bed at first was hard but when I got in it to sleep I never slept better. There was a vibration that we felt, never a sway from ocean movement. Our refrigerator went out but it was quickly replaced. The shower was nice, being in a bathtub. We will never do any room less that a Junior Suite now. It was perfect for eating breakfast in your room! The closet is huge! We had so much room to move in the room that it made all the difference.
