It Was TERRIBLE, Never Again!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

Azamara, simply was not an elite criuse adventure. Their customer service was terrible from the start, no one waiting to pick us up or to help with lost luggage etc. The food overall was not good. The ship was 21 years old, sold 4 times and showed it. I do have a few pictures to show it. They were very disorganized, even giving us the wrong luggage tags on departure. We took all our luggage ...

Norway with Azamara simply the best!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Quest

We did Norway in the winter on Viking and couldn’t wait to return to our favourite country with Azamara and a Norwegian captain. Embarkation in Dublin was very easy, there are no port facilities so it was part in a tent off ship and part indoors in the Lounge. Despite this it was one of the smoothest embarkations we have experienced. It was probably a lot of hard work for the crew though! ...

Not like the past and not good for the money

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Sirena

Be ware-- while Oceania's cruise prices are mostly back to "normal" our cruise was not. As you will read in reviews by others, there are many differences with prior cruises on Oceania. This was our 7th cruise on Oceania. The staff tries hard but is either poorly or insuffiently trained. Too many staff are inexperienced. They smile and are pleasant but miss the mark. Consequently, you may food ...

We sailed from Dublin to Dublin beginning on 7/3/22. We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary. The ship went all the way around Ireland. The ports were all great. The staff was amazing. The food superb. However, there was very limited internet access. Access is advertised as free and available all over the ship. There wasn’t enough bandwidth available for the number of ...

You can always find things on a cruise that can be made better. This cruise was no exception. But, in general, the cruise was good and enjoyable. For people looking for more to do and a slightly younger crowd--look for something else. Oceania, is known for the food on board and in general I would say the food is nicely prepared, presented and good. In the main dining room there is something new ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We haven’t sailed on Seabourn since 2012 as we were put off by their liberal smoking policies. We decided to try them again especially since the itinerary for the British Isles was unique having a good number of stops in Scotland. Embarkation was quick and our suite was ready at noon time which was a great plus for us. We stayed in a spa penthouse suite which was quite nice but not sure it is ...

Good itinerary

We chose this cruise for the itinerary which included a stop in the outer Hebrides and the Orkney Islands. The ship is very nice though the design is odd. A good half a dozen times we encountered other passengers who joked about being lost / felt confused by the layout. The pool area creates a separation between cabins, and not in a good way. The enrichment activities on this cruises weren't ...

Oceania vs. Princess

For those interested in a comparison, let's look at the differences between Oceania and Princess. We were on the 18-day Dublin-Copenhagen segment. This was our first cruise with Oceania. We are elite with Princess. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary: Norway and northern Russian ports. Oceania has considerably less merchandising pressure. There is no crew of photographers. The ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

I chose this cruise because of its itinerary. This was my first time on Regent. I usually do Princess. If you want to try Regent, start with another ship. The Navigator is old, small, has very little entertainment during the night or day and the decor is average at best. One of my biggest problem with this cruise line is their costs to book your hotel and airport transfers. They pay for your ...

Great trip to Arctic Russia

We booked this cruise as it was the only one of two for the year that goes to Arkhangelsk Russia. The idea was to follow the path of one of the characters in my wife's next novel, albeit 100 years later. We had a great time doing so and she has been able to add detail to her writings. Personally I also had a great time, leaning more about northern Norway and Russia. It was also a white nights ...
