We sailed from Dublin to Dublin beginning on 7/3/22. We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary. The ship went all the way around Ireland.
The ports were all great. The staff was amazing. The food superb.
However, there was very limited internet access. Access is advertised as free and available all over the ship. There wasn’t enough bandwidth available for the number of guests, and the ship wasn’t full. Normally I wouldn’t be concerned but I had arranged all of our plans independently in each of the ports because the prices had significantly increased for the ship’s excursions. All the related information was only available in my phone which I then was unable to access. The amount of time in one port was also cut back by two hours which proved very inconvenient. I heard many rumblings about lack of internet access from many other passengers as well. It made everything very complicated.
The cabin was very clean and well-appointed. Although the bathroom was small, it’s expected on a smaller ship.
This was a really great port. We used tenders to access the port itself. The city of Bantry provided shuttles from the port into town and back. The people we encountered were very welcoming. The Bantry House and Gardens was a highlight!
Liverpool was very fun. We had arranged a tour of John Lennon’s and Paul McCartney’s boyhood homes as well as a visit to The Cavern Club. Obviously, we’re Beatles fans!
We loved Belfast. We arranged a Black Cab Political Tour which was very interesting and educational. After the tour we visited The Titanic Museum which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We enjoyed a Walking History Tour as well as short visits to The Time Museum and The Silver Museum. We topped it off with a tour of The Waterford Crystal Factory and Showroom …superb!
