Yikes, Silver Seas is a massive disappointment. I have sailed with Crystal, Oceania, Regent, and Seabourn and I was looking forward to Silver Seas but it was a big let down. There is nothing redeeming about the ship and I would strongly recommend any other line.
Three Big Issues:
1) World Cup- it was sold as a World Cup cruise. A few weeks before the cruise they send a notice to say Qatar ...
to go to places i have never been, but this did not happen as the itinary changed frequently and we had to go to places i was not interested in,out of the 28 day cruise we were at sea for fourteen of them as we were not allowed to dock.in my opinion this cruise should never had taken place and should have been cancelled.ships main staff could not or more to the point would not answer straight ...
Booked this cruise to visit India and expected a luxury experience have paid more than £6k for the trip, which did not include the drinks package or any extras. From the moment i entered our room I was distraught. The room was old with tatty furnishings, curtains hanging on broken runners. Stained carpets and upholstery. Broken doors on cupboards and brown stained shower room. The worse was to ...
This was our first time sailing on Oceania. We were concerned about going on this cruise given the Nautica is badly in need of renovations. And these renovations are not to occur until June of this year, when the ship is scheduled to go into dry dock for a couple of weeks. However, considering the 30-day itinerary from Dubai to Cape Town, including the various stops in Oman, India, the ...
I chose this ship because of the price to go to Dubai. I was very disappointed the ship is huge but not as elegant as I thought for it size.
The room was spacious but the toilet overran, shampoo container leaked into the shower, the mini refrigerator was not working they replaced it with a new one. The lighting in the room was inconsistent one very dim and one very bright.
The food was ...
Let me start by saying i try to find the positive in everything. We chose this cruise (despite some negative reviews) because it had the itinerary we wanted on the dates we needed.
That said, here is why I won’t be going on msc again:
First Clue should have been the reservations process. Had to do over the phone because for some reason the new EU privacy laws meant I couldn’t do it online ...
I went on with an open mind after reading the reviews, after a few hours the style wears off and the reality is clear.
Only a handful of staff are happy, you get told wrong information on a constant basis! You are clearly putting some out asking for service!
Food is very ordinary in the buffet and the selection is the same day in day out. Lunch food is just left out until dinner tome. ...
Embarkation seemed smooth but they didn’t put our drinks package on our cruise card so had to queue again onboard ship to rectify - no apologies.
Headed up to pool deck and first thing we encounter is a pile of vomit with cones round it and most of ship cordoned off and being painted. Food in Bora Bora lacking in variety and often cold.
Lot of ship off limits for Yacht Club. Then had the ...
This was my first cruise, and it was disappointing overall. The food was horrible (except for the meal I paid extra for, at the Butcher's Cut specialty restaurant onboard). Even the "pizza" in the buffet area was lousy. So many other people onboard commented that this cruise line's food offerings are lousy compared to other cruise lines they've used. Also, is MSC Cruise line so desperate that it ...
By far the worst cruise we have been on.Dubai to Yokohama
Have done over 20 .cruises
Cabin never cleaned properly. The frill round the bed was all ripped and hanging off.The settee was broken and to be taken away and repaired. This was before the cruise started
The balcony door frame collapsed and had to be repaired on 4 occasions.
The last it took 3 days to fix.Had to stuff towels in ...
