We had sailed on 2 previous Oceania cruises and believed we found a new favorite cruise line. Having been on 7 different lines over the years and multiple cruises, we decided to book our 3rd Oceania on the Nautica which we were on last year traveling Turkey and Greece.
We traveled the Holy Land itinerary from Dubai to Barcelona on the same ship and same room. We had booked this tour on board ...
We sailed on the Silversea Silver Shadow from Dubai to Athens in April of this year - our third Silversea cruise . We had loved our previous Cruises on the Shadow and the Silver Spirit and particularly liked the cabin comfort and the attentive service where nothing was too much trouble.
This cruise was so different.
1. Cabin Comfort. Yes the Shadow is now a bit shabby and very much in need ...
Chose this cruise to help us unwind from a very stressful nine months due to illness, what a mistake that was ,certainly not due to weight gain as the food on offer was diabolical I had porridge every day as couldn't eat fry up over cooked streaky bacon broccoli or cauliflower with beans eggs and various sausage tastes'Toast brick hard and cold,
Entertainment not to our taste most nights and ...
We read the negative reviews prior to booking. I really don't take much notice of them. How wrong we were.
We booked because of the itinerary, lots of places we wanted to visit. Not much to add to many other negative reviews. The overall on board experience was dreadful. Frustrating to miss 2 of our desired ports Sir bani yas & Piraeus (Athens). Of course MSC did not refund port charges even ...
This cruise had a brilliant itinerery but was let down by both food and entertainment on the ship. The food was of not very good quality in either restaurant or in buffet. If you liked fish you would be ok as it was cooked in just about every way you could think of and ways you have'nt heard of. It didn't even look like fish as most of time either in oil, batter or mixed in something. Salads were ...
Chosen this cruise line because of the itinerary offered and being an Italian passport holder I did believe to be proud of the italian hospitality offered and convinced friends to join on the Costa Mediterranea. A total catastrophy to say the least!!! Never again will look or put a foot on a Costa vessel regardless on what they offer.
A catalogue of mistakes, rudeness, could not care and bother ...
We enjoyed the places we visited on the cruise but not the ship - food was not great, very poor maintenance with rust everywhere, things broken and missing including furniture and chairs in lounges and public areas, and the office staff and management uncaring and not obliging. It lacked the lounges and bars and the forward located crow’s nest outlook of the smaller Holland America boats. Alcohol ...
We picked this so we could go to Petra. The other stops were useless--Athens on Easter Sunday? Everythihjng was closed. Israel on Good Friday? Everything was closed. They should have planned this better. Onboard, lectures and trivia were great. Dining room food was fine, but service was lacking. Windjammer was typical. What they call "mousse" is some kind of whipped jello. Pavlovas were ...
We chose this cruise because it included the Suez Canal we had 2 nights in Dubai before the cruise and we were stopping in what we thought were fairly interesting ports ?? They weren't interesting at all for me !
The excursion to Jerusalem and Bethlehem were excruciatingly awful, too many people ( last days of the Passover ) the guide ! Well the less I say about her the better !!
We had ...
After travelling on QM2 on 3 different occasions, this was for us a total shock. In all of our cruises by now probably 100 + this had to have been the worst. To board the ship and immediately start to hear that people paid as little as 400 pounds a cabin and with them came Norovirus with the result that we were like a hospital at sea for 8 or 9 days. We were not even allowed into Jordanian ...
