Disney Wonder; Indescribable Magic

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Disney Wonder

So, for starters: most people would assume that Disney is a destination for families with children. Well, since childhood, both my wife and I have been obsessed with all things Disney. Our cruise was last week, and it was just the two of us. With the small exception of brief sea-sickness, this cruise was everything a young married couple ever could have dreamed of and more. To begin with: we ...

We embarked at the San Diego Pier. Check-in was easy and well-organized. We arrived at the terminal at 11:30 AM and were on the ship by 12:08 PM. The ship was clean and had a good smell - some cruise ships have a harsh chemical smell because of the cleaners, but the Wonder had a pleasant smell throughout. Also has the best bathrooms on any cruise ship I've been on, and I've been on several. ...

Repositioning Cruise; a Delightful Deal

If you want to take a Disney cruise but think it's a bit pricey...and it will be...unless you take an unpricey repositioning cruise to the Panama Canal from Miami to San Diego. We booked early (14 months prior to cruise) to get best rate and room. Got verandah room with balcony and it was awesome. Cost was much cheaper than most cruise lines for balcony room. Cruise, food, service, activities, ...

Positives: -Very few children on the Canal Crossing which meant the characters got to know the children by name. -Our room location, experience was great. -Although every room was sold, most rooms were only 2 pax, so the ship seemed less crowded -We were the first to experience Freeze the Night Away deck party. -Free BYOB! Not so goods: -A large majority of the cast was ...

How your vacation turns out depends on 2 things: how you plan it, and what YOU make of it. If you do your proper planning/research, and put a little (I mean a LITTLE [it is Disney after all]) effort into having an enjoyable time, you will. Now for my review: We were scheduled to arrive at the terminal @ 11AM. Our shuttle from the hotel down the street got us there at about 10:15AM. I ...

This was our first Disney Cruise and it won't be our last. We sailed up the California coast from LA to San Fransisco, down to San Diego and Ensenada Mexico and back to LA. We loved the cruise....staff was superb, food excellent and the entertainment was over the top. The boat has signs all around to tell you how to get there. I was amazed since I'm directionally challenged and it takes til ...

Did 7 day Mexican Riviera on the Wonder departed 8April2012. Activities are incredible for the kids and decent for adults. Was in a deluxe stateroom which has plenty of room for my wife and 2 kids, age 5 and 7. No need for extra storage at all - talk of over the door shoe hangars for storage seems overblown - we didn't use anywhere near all the drawers or hangars provided. Food was just ...

This was our first cruise. We traveled beginning April 1st-8th! We were expecting to have fun....but Disney exceeded our expectations! We have two children ages 7 and 8 and they loved it!!! The positives were the itinerary that was filled with dozens of activities for the whole family, the entertainment, and the service. Our dinner experience was fabulous, as your servers (all three!) follow ...

My husband and I are both teachers so our only time to cruise is during winter, spring or summer breaks. As we live in the Northwest, by the time January hits, our theme for the past three years has been... "Okay, where should we cruise for spring break?" The year before we sailed the Mexican Riviera on Holland America and had an experience that nearly kept us from cruising for good. However, I ...

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time on our family vacation. There was 4 of us in total. 2 adults, and 2 children ages 5 and 18 months. Embarkation was painless. There was a bit of a delay in embarking but the wait was not too long. As you enter the ship, they welcome you by asking your surname and announce "Please welcome the Smith family!" This was a very nice touch and you immediately feel at home. Once ...
