We booked this cruise some 10 months before departure and was a little apprehensive reading some of the reports as to the ship being tired and old.
We did not find this, yes in places, you had to look, for slight rust on windows, small rubs on furniture, but overall we were more than satisfied.
We flew to Venice to embark and took the Venicelink private shuttle to the port, this we found ...
The boat is a bit older but had some really nice unique things, like in the blu dining room you could see out from every seat, the bar kept curtains open later and the ocean view cafe was spread out so flowed better. They also left salad bar open longer which is great if you got back later in the day. The need to reconfigure the spa and Persian gardens.spa rooms were too bright the Persian garden ...
We had been watching the last-minute deals for European cruises over the past few months, and when it transpired that none of our three young-adult offspring could join us on vacation, my husband and I made the decision to go on this 7 day Adriatic cruise out of Venice, even though it was at the peak of the insane tourist season in Europe--the deal we got was just too good to pass up!
Having ...
Don't listen to the negative reviews, complaining about the ship's age and the staff. After a week on the Celebrity Infinity, I'm convinced those reviews were left by picky and miserable people. Yes, the ship is definitely old, but it's very clean and well-maintained. And I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly the staff was. We've previously sailed with Princess (just okay) and NCL ...
This is my 7th cruise, 4th with celebrity, 1st on the infinity. We choose this cruise based on the itinerary and we truly loved all the ports.
The ship had an overnight in Venice then set sail the next day. I actually liked this because it gave us an opportunity to explore Venice at night and have an incredible dinner in Venice. I also didn’t feel rushed.
Our other ports were Split ...
We boarded the ship in Ft Lauderdale and it was quick and easy. Our Concierge Cabin mid-ship on Deck 8 was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable with plenty of storage for our clothes and luggage. Our cabin steward, as usual, provided excellent service. The Atlantic crossing was so smooth you really didn't know you were moving.
We enjoyed the cruise but feel some things are definitely ...
We have sailed Celebrity many times as well as other lines.
Embarkation- SLOW. Priority included so many, plus AQ etc. There were over 900 Elites and above on this sailing. So everyone had priority. Took about 45 min.
Stateroom 1141 - AFT facing the wake on 11. Overlooks the sunset bar. (1 of 5)
Oversized balcony is lovely. Under the overhang you cannot be seen from below or above. Once ...
We picked this cruise as we had never been on a transatlantic cruise. The price was terrific. And we loved the itinerary.
The crossing was very smooth, except for one day in between Madeira and Lisbon. When I say smooth, the ocean was like glass. This was terrific for us to do some sunbathing. There wasn’t a problem finding a deck chair ever. Infinity is an older ship, due to be ...
Staff all excellent. Food in restaurants excellent. Enjoyed the speciality restaurants. Haven’t been on Celebrity for a while as we prefer smaller ships. As this was a sort cruise at Easter there were a lot of families on board. They all looked like they were having a great time, especially when the Easter Bunny made an appearance. Our only disappointment was that the times for our dinner ...
I choose this sailing just for a quick getaway with my hubby. This was my second time on this ship and the first for my husband. We were very surprised with the new terminal in Ft. Lauderdale very very nice and modern. The lunch options were good you have your pizza station, grill station in the back for meats, pasta station, other options and then salad. We decided not to go to the main dining ...
