We had been watching the last-minute deals for European cruises over the past few months, and when it transpired that none of our three young-adult offspring could join us on vacation, my husband and I made the decision to go on this 7 day Adriatic cruise out of Venice, even though it was at the peak of the insane tourist season in Europe--the deal we got was just too good to pass up! Having heard that the Celebrity Infinity is soon to be renovated and somewhat "worn", I was a bit concerned, but should not have been. The decor, carpeting, lounges and bars were inviting and well-maintained, and we found nothing to grumble about in that regard. Embarkation in Venice was seamless, allowing us to board shortly after noon, and we were greeted with glasses of prosecco in the grand foyer. Lunch was being served and we had time to orient ourselves to the ship prior to the obligatory mustering drill. Our cabin, despite having been reserved last-minute and being interior, was more than adequate: plenty of hangers, closet space, drawers, and shelving in the room and in the bathroom, though I could always used more hooks. An umbrella was provided, which turned out to be handy the first two days of the cruise, during which it rained quite a bit. Robes were provided. We never received an ice bucket in the room, but never requested one, as we had the beverage package and no need to have drinks in the room. Our cabin steward was friendly and unobtrusive and quickly realized we are late to bed, late to rise sort of folks. Having booked last-minute, we did not have a set dining time, but rather open seating: we were willing nearly every evening to sit with others and were lucky enough to meet some very lively dinner companions from Ireland, Scotland, and Britain (?no other Americans were willing to meet others at dinner?). The food was very good across the board, so we had no reason to try any of the specialty restaurants. We ate every breakfast in the Oceanview Cafe/buffet and enjoyed the omelet and waffle station. We usually returned from port days to eat a bit of something there as well, but always had dinner in the dining room. Given that we were at different tables at different times each night, it was not possible to develop any relationship with our servers, but they were all competent and friendly across the board. Nightly entertainment was good but not necessarily great: the comedian was a bit spotty, especially on his second night, the ship's dancers and singers were good and entertaining, the acrobats that appeared twice were GREAT, the musicians in the lounges were very good, and "Monananda" (a singer and guitarist couple from LA) were fantastic. They had a CD on offer one evening when out at the Mast Bar, and we felt badly that we didn't purchase one, but who carries cash around on board? Our SeaPass card was all we needed to purchase things on the ship! The fitness area was large and had plenty of machines to get a workout, but I always wish there were more FREE classes/activities rather than the for-fee ones (what about Zumba?) The locker room had 3 showers, 3 toilets, lockers, sinks, towels, and a hair dryer, but no lotion. The sauna was rarely busy but one evening it was merely tepid and not inviting. We only went on one ship's excursion as we had never been in Montenegro and didn't know what to expect. The port of Kotor was also our only tendered port and we wanted to make sure that, being on a ship's excursion, we would get back to the ship in time no matter what. Our excursion from Kotor went to Budva, on the Adriatic coast, and the only disappointing thing about the day was that, on the way back, we were brought to a "leather showroom" and had to watch models show the wares and then spent ~20minutes in the showroom being asked if we were interested in buying anything . . . NO. The ship is well laid out. The pools were a bit small for the number of passengers on the ship and the hot weather, but it was great to have the interior (covered) thallasotherapy pools to decompress some of the adults, as this was a quieter area (usually), and would be usable in inclement or cool weather as well. The Rooftop terrace was a comfy area where outdoor movies were shown and where Moananda played one night. The Constellation Lounge was the main area for music and dancing in the evening. The Rendevous Lounge was where much of the trivia was held. The Martini Bar was always hopping when we passed by. Read Less

We choose this cruise because of the ports visited-Sicily, Malta, Argostoli,Greece, Dubrovnik, Croatia, Koper, Slovenia. The ship is older, but still lovely. We were in an Aqua class cabin at the rear of the ship and loved it. We enjoyed the Blu Dining Room where the food was excellent. We felt the staff was very accommodating throughout the ship. A lot of people on the forum complain the ship is “tired”, but we enjoyed its smaller size and next year it is due for an overhaul. If you are looking for a mega ship with all the new bells and whistles, this is not the ship. However, if you are concentrating on the ports of call and want a lovely means of transportation, this is a great ship and itinerary. We used the ships excursions exclusively and were happy with each and every excursion we attended. By watching the website for sales and using ship credit, the excursions were reasonable. We only had one sea day on this cruise, so we did not participate in many on board activities. However, I attended two dance classes and they were a blast. I also had a message at the Canyon Ranch Spa and it probably was the best message I’ve ever had. The ships entertainment was fine. We attended a couple of production shows and a comedian who was hilarious. All in all we had a fantastic cruise on the Infinity. Read Less

Don't listen to the negative reviews, complaining about the ship's age and the staff. After a week on the Celebrity Infinity, I'm convinced those reviews were left by picky and miserable people. Yes, the ship is definitely old, but it's very clean and well-maintained. And I can't even begin to tell you how incredibly the staff was. We've previously sailed with Princess (just okay) and NCL (horrible experience). My husband and I agreed that we'll look at Celebrity first, for all future cruises. We booked a Concierge Class stateroom, and never regretted it. Our embarkation time was 11:30. We arrive about 5 minutes early, and were on the ship with a glass of champagne in hand before 11:45. I still can't believe how smooth the check-in process was. We spent the next couple hours enjoying the pool bar while waiting for access to our rooms. The stateroom was outdated, but very clean. Our Concierge, Jonathan, was fantastic. He provided guidance with a couple ports, and was able to quickly re-schedule our disembarkation time to accommodate the transfer we booked outside the cruise line. The food in the main dining room was overall amazing (we each had only one meal that was not so great). The service team (waiter, assistant waiter, and sommelier) were very friendly and attentive. The buffet was always clean, and the food was much better than expected. We took part in a Wine and Food pairing, and the host, Fernando, was absolutely hilarious! I only have two complaints: 1.) The first couple days onboard, the staff really pushes dinning and beverage packages, to the point of annoyance. We had the Classic beverage package, which we found to be sufficient. I was on an Aperol Spritz-kick during this cruise, and each one only cost an additional $1.20. Upgrading to the Premium package would have cost another $10 each day, and I certainly wasn't drinking enough for it to be worth it. There are only three specialty restaurants, none of which interested us. 2.) Most of the onboard activities focus heavily on spending money. Jewel shows for discounted items, watch seminars sponsored by Tag, massage demonstrations in the spa, and (of course) art auctions. We've always enjoyed the game shows and trivia activities on previous cruises, but these all took place in a small/enclosed lounge or bar area. On other cruises (newer ships) this has taken place in the open atrium area, which the Infinity lacks. Quick recap of our ports: ---Venice: Embarked Day 1, and stayed in port overnight. We did the Celebrity Doge's Palace, Gondola Ride & Glass Showroom Demo on Day 2. Skip it. The Doge's Palace tour was definitely worth it, but it would be better booked through an outside tour company. The gondola ride and glass showroom were incredibly touristy and uninteresting. ---Split: We booked a walking tour of Diolcetian's Palace through GetYourGuide. It was about a 20 minute walk from the ship to downtown Split, which was very easy. We spent the rest of the day having lunch and walking around the town/Riva. ---Kotor: We booked a speedboat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks and Perast, through Viator. There were 3 other ships in port that same day, and it was insanely packed. We were fairly far out in the Bay, which made for a 20 minute tender ride. I would definitely recommend getting up early to sit outside on the deck or balcony, and enjoy the beautiful views as the ship pulls into the Bay of Kotor. ---Corfu: We booked a beach transfer across the island, through GetYourGuide. It was half the price of the ship's beach transfer, and took us to the exact same resort. ---Naples: If you want to do Pompeii or the Almafi Coast, book this through the cruise ship. We booked Celebrity's 10-hour Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii excursion, and were glad we did it. We were first off the ship and last ones back on. But since it was booked through the cruise line, we didn't need to worry about missing the boat. ---Rome: We booked a hotel transfer through GetYourGuide. It was about $100 for two of us, but worth it. The Celebrity transfer options were only to city-center, and were packed full of people. It was worth the extra money to be taken directly to our hotel. Our tag number was able to get off the ship 15 minutes earlier than scheduled, and the disembarkation process took all of 5 minutes. Our bags were ready for us in the terminal as soon as we got off the ship. Summary: The ship is old, but clean and well maintained. The staff is amazing. The food is delicious. The itinerary was perfect. We recommend this cruise line/ship, and we'd do it all over again! Read Less

We chose this cruise as the dates fitted with our 30th wedding anniversary and also because of the destinations we hadn’t been to before except one. From the start on arrival to the airport , celebrity staff were very organised, not a long transfer to the ship around 30-40 mins, concierge check in was very quick, smooth all round, we were on the ship before we knew it, lovely drinks welcome on board, the ocean view cafe was open and we didn’t have to wait longer before the staterooms were ready, staterooms were comfortable enough and had toiletries in the bathroom, hairdryer and safe in the room, our stateroom attendant was very good. Our dining room experience was amazing, we had the most amazing friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you and it’s the first cruise after doing 6 previous cruises that we saw and spoke to our head waiter all the time, just makes the difference, the food was of good quality, some days were excellent, the favourite was the tornado steak, the lamb and lobster night just fabulous. The Ocean View Cafe, was set out around both sides, sometimes you were searching at different ends for certaIn foods, but you got used to the set up, we never struggled to find a table as there is plenty of seating, the staff again are very friendly. The ship itself was lovely, I understand that people say it’s a little older fashioned but nothing at all that you need to worry about, we felt that all the areas, Cafe al Bacio, martini bar, cellars masters bar, were of a good standard, there is fabulous outside film area all with comfy seating showing movies everyday, the toilet areas are very clean and well stocked and the staff again are very friendly. We loved every destination that we went to, Venice was gorgeous, gondola ride is €80 but this can take up to 6 people, so you can share the cost, what a beautiful place. Croatia was gorgeous, we just took the hop on hop off bus for a bus tour and walking tour this was €20 pp, really good way to look around. Kotor was just stunning, you take a tender from the ship and we just had a look around ourselves, for a few hours, wow the sail away was stunning to see. Corfu we wanted a beach day, we missed out on the celebrity beach trip, this sells very quickly we tried to book as soon as we got on board but it was already full, the ship cost for this trip is around $40-$45 pp, so we just got off and looked for own transport, be careful as the taxi trips at the port are charging €110 for 2 which is just a rip off, here we ended up on the red tour bus at €19 pp, we stopped off at the first beach on the tour had 4 hours and then got the bus back and saw the rest of the tour which was great, beach beds to hire, reasonable cost, with bar selling drinks and food at good prices, there are also toilets at this beach, the staff were very friendly and are up and down the beach serving. Naples we did a ship trip here, at $99pp to Pompeii we did the 1.30pm 4 hrs trip as the am one was sold out but this was perfect we had the best guide called Jose, he was very knowledgable and was passionate , he was quite funny also which made the trip brilliant, apparently we totally made the right decision to go in the afternoon as the morning one was so rammed with people it was hard to get around.. Wow this cruise was amazing we loved every minute, we will definitely be cruising with Celebrity again.. Read Less

I was hoping to be wowed by Celebrity having read up so much prior to going, but i have to say although they were good, I do prefer other cruise lines in retrospect. The ports of call made this cruise memorable for the right reasons. Our cabin was lovely, clean and such a comfortable bed. Good closet space. Bathroom supplies were fine. A very quiet and smooth sail throughout no issues with the ship itself even though its due a refit being older, but i liked the size of it, and managed to not get too lost. The small annoyance is the water in cabin is extra costing over 5$ for a warm bottle of water, which if you have a drinks package its Free from the bars. Mini bar is also extra. Dining was mediocre. our table for 2 was squashed by a stair well we felt squeezed in. Service, was fine, just a little forced. Buffet was again Ok, but on some occasions some sections were closed, and left very little to choose from, however the breakfast ommlette station was fantastic, offering hot variety on demand. The waiters who clear the tables work very hard. Lovely views whilst sitting in the Buffet, this was lovely for sunsets and dolphin spotting whilst eating. Some bars kept running out of things waiting on deliveries. Some toilets had toilet paper on the floor, and no napkins. It actually felt like the ship was short staffed for some reason.Maybe they were training staff still I dont know. Food in the main dining was often luke warm and tiny portions. The soups were lovely to taste, but the menu every day was un-inspiring really, i was hoping the food would be something extra special. We didn't do the speciality due to the constant upsell all the time, and the menus offered there were pretty much the same you could get for free elsewhere. Cafe Bacio the coffee shop was a favourite of ours, wonderful drinks and pretty good service in here. Entertainment was constant around the ship, a great DJ Alessio, was fantastic, some great sounds, round by the pool bar and Maritin bar. He lifted the mood well. Evening entertainment one show was great the IBroadway was excellent but the other shows were ok, nothing too engaging, we found much of the shows were gameshow style which felt very much for the Americans onboard. Most of the bar staff we experienced were quite miserable, and found service very inconsistent and slow, one person great, next person not at all bothered to connect with you. such a shame. The best part was - Our ports of call were excellent, itinerary fantastic. I loved Venice, and Split and Kotor especially. The tours we did were great too, very insightful and interesting the tour guides were fantastic, we did some walking tours and found them very well organised and enjoyable. All the tenders and transfers were organised very well. everything rang smoothly, I was just a little underwhelmed by Celebrity, most of the hype says they are top of the list. i beg to differ. This is my 7th cruise, 4th with celebrity, 1st on the infinity. We choose this cruise based on the itinerary and we truly loved all the ports. The ship had an overnight in Venice then set sail the next day. I actually liked this because it gave us an opportunity to explore Venice at night and have an incredible dinner in Venice. I also didn’t feel rushed. Our other ports were Split Croatia, Kotor Montenegro, Corfu Greece, and Naples Italy. My favorites were Croatia were we hired a private guide by speed boat to take us to HVAR for the day and Corfu were we hired a private sail boat to take us sailing for day. Montenegro is nice, cute little town. We stayed on the boat in Naples as we have been there before. We did have aqua class which allowed us to dine in BLU, and I feel is totally worth it. It’s a more exclusive experience and the service and food are wonderful. I especially love the breakfast. The staff on the ship are always so amazing. I had an injury on the boat and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. My only note about this ship is that it is very dated ( but we knew that coming on). My understanding though is that it is getting a complete refurbishing sometime soon so that will take care of any minor issues. As usual I just recommend people to do their research on the ports and find things you really want to do. Just getting off at the ports and walking around gets very old and boring. Take some time to think outside the box and look into even hiring private companies. Lastly, make sure you make your speciality restaurant reservations well in advance. They are very good and worth the money but they always book up. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard passengers complaining on day one that all the speciality restaurants were booked up because the didn’t know to reserve in advance. You can also now make spa reservations in advance so consider that for a day at sea. Just remember you are on vacation, try not to nick pick at every little detail. Just enjoy the cruise, drinks and food. Read Less

We chose this ship for its itinerary and the timing of departure. We are experienced cruisers (10+ cruises) and this was our second on Celebrity. We booked a SkySuite (8127 accessible). After reading multiple reviews on this ship I will admit I was concerned. I thought the ship would feel old and tired, I thought the staff would be lukewarm and the food mediocre. Now I am just wondering what ship the rest of the reviewers were on, because it certainly was not the Infinity that we experienced. We thought the ship was in great shape (yes if you look closely you could see some wear in tear, but whoever is looking that closely better not come to my house because we've lived in it for 16+ years and it also shows some signs of its age). The staff was delightful -- lots of fun and great entertainment. The ship is big enough to have the resources/activities of a large ship, but not so big to feel overwhelming. If you wanted to, you could avoid the crowds (even on sea days). We loved our Suite Class perks! Food in Luminae was among the best we have had on any ship including some luxury lines that are all about the food. And being in a dining room that seats a maximum of 50 at a time meant that we never felt rushed, never had crying babies, etc. to interrupt our dining experience (and we really dined!). Thought the itinerary was strong, although was a bit disappointed in Split, would have preferred Dubrovnik. Shore excursions were fine but not extraordinary - our best excursion we booked privately in Corfu. The only real complaint was the Wifi was spotty. and getting to and from the port in Venice is a pain -- Celebrity should have provided free shuttles - not charged for it. Read Less

My husband and I went on this cruise to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we brought our kids ages 23,21,and 15. We have been on a Carnival Cruise and one other Celebrity Cruise and we knew we loved Celebrity - it did not disappoint! Embarkation was so very easy with no long lines and a lovely glass of champagne upon entering the ship. We loved our cabins and our statesman Jeremiah was wonderful! Food was wonderful in both the buffet and the main restaurant. We tried the Sushi restaurant too and it was very good. Did the Select Dining and made the reservations a couple weeks in advance based on what we were doing that day in the port. (Did canoe trip, knew we needed a nap, dined later that night) I would strongly suggest doing this so you get a table. We were actually able to sit in the same spot with the same fabulous waiters (Frances and Paola) every night! We upgraded to premium drink packages and were never disappointed with drinks. Service at every bar - also excellent! Shows, bands, all entertainment, dancing, trivia - all fun and never overcrowded. I do not know how they do it but the ship NEVER feels crowded! The pools even do not get super crowded. But 2 times we did have to circle around a bit to find lounge chairs - no big deal to us. The gym was fantastic with lots of machines and ellipticals and freeweights and a yoga/stretching area. Again, never felt crowded. Did not use spa because we felt it was pretty expensive. Shops onboard were great and I got great service and no pressure when I shopped. Ports were wonderful and we did 3 excursions at 3 ports and all of them were very good and very organized. Again, Celebrity just does this RIGHT! And coming back to the ship and getting a cold drink and cold towel after a hot day feels heavenly! Disembarkation was easy and organized. We took a bus (arranged by Celebrity) to airport and, although we had to wait a few minutes and there seemed to be a little confusion about which line we should be in, we got on and got to the airport in time. Overall, I would recommend Celebrity Infinity to anyone who is not expecting slides and waterplay for kids, skydiving areas or ziplines...all those extra things that some cruiselines are adding that we have no interest in at all. Infinity itself is due for a refurbishment and, while it was clean, there are some areas like cushions and carpet which could use an update. Read Less

We wanted to see Mykonos, Athens and Santorini and have cruised with Celebrity on a number of occasions. Overall it was a decent itinerary with 8 x ports and 4 x days at sea. Good staff and some really good U K based performing acts in the theatre. Food overall was good but the main dining room menu is getting a bit stale and as such we ate in self service restaurant on a few occasions which was a nice change. We found it disappointing that we could not even try a Martini, using our drinks package, you needed premium, in the Martini Bar. In general the wines that we tried at night did not match the quality from previous Celebrity cruises. We booked three shore excursions through Celebrity and two through Cruising excursions, which on the whole were far better value than Celebrity. Although the ship was okay it is definitely looking very tired and in urgent need of a refit. We also enjoyed coffee at Al Bachio and the occasional confectionary on a daily basis. It was also nice to be sitting somewhere and one of the onboard entertainers would set up and start playing. Read Less

We chose this cruise because going to Italy is on our bucket list! We loved everything about the shoreline tours, the cruise ship, the staff on the ship, the food, etc. We'll definitely be going back! The ship is one of the older ones, and we heard it's being refurbished in 2020. We took advantage of the excursions offered. Some were rather pricey, but we don't know enough about going on our own. Plus, if the tour bus is late, the ship will wait for us. So, that was a plus. LOL We took advantage of the Tuscan Grill two nights. We loved this restaurant. We have been on the Equinox and Silhouette, which both have that particular restaurant. Love Italian food and this one did not disappoint us. The Solarium is rather small, and there aren't enough lounge chairs. The weather, though, was a bit chilly so we didn't find it necessary to go to the pool. The shows in the Celebrity Theater were very good. Some were Excellent. We adore Celebrity and will choose it first and foremost. Read Less

We spent any dollars in a short excursion and we made beautiful friends. Very good room service a lot of emotional moments dancing in the pool side. The jacuzzi are very nice place to meet new friends drink cocktails and have tan moments. Our cruise was prepared with many months of anticipation and this is a very good idea because you can pre paid all of your activities and you can enjoy more the ship without money preoccupations. We wanted a quick little get away, we love to cruise and have been for many years. We took a 7 day Celebrity cruise about six years ago and thought it was wonderful. We hoped this would be the same due to the companies reputation but could not be more disappointed. We took an Aqua Class Stateroom with balcony which was small and cramped especially the bathroom, whenever you took a shower the whole bath floor got wet! The ship was allegedly updated not long ago, don't know what they updated but they probably need to go back to the drawing board. The a/c barely kept our room comfortable, the TV didn't work most of the time, the water coming out of our of the faucet and shower was dark rust colored at times! We tried to get a glass of wine at one of the bars, the bartender moved toward us, told my wife to have a nice day and then left! What great service! With a Classic drink package and trip insurance this was a $1,200.00 two night cruise. Not cheap at all for a small cramped room, lousy service and rust colored water. We could have gone on a three night with another Cruise line for nearly 1/2 that price! Again we went with Celebrity for their reputation. We also were constantly being solicited to try one of the private, pay for what you eat on board restaurants. We didn't come on the cruise to be constantly solicited, we came to relax. The only saving grace on this cruise was having the Aqua Class private dining room. We did have a great ocean view, the food was great and our waiter Hendar was fantastic! If not for the private restaurant and great staff this would have been a total loss. For me the bottom line is save your money, go on a different cruise line or just stay home. You will be much happier, we wish we never went. Celebrity has lost our business. We will be on a competitor from now on. Read Less

I choose this sailing just for a quick getaway with my hubby. This was my second time on this ship and the first for my husband. We were very surprised with the new terminal in Ft. Lauderdale very very nice and modern. The lunch options were good you have your pizza station, grill station in the back for meats, pasta station, other options and then salad. We decided not to go to the main dining room for dinner since it was such a short cruise and we just wanted to relax and not have to worry about getting all dressed up by a certain time and be rushed. The dinner wasn't the best in the buffet. The options were very limited and on some things I was a little disappointed but not a big deal. I guess I was okay with salads chicken and pizza. Of course in the main dining you have better options. The cakes on display were absolutely beautiful in the buffet. Unfortunately those were on display only. They do have a no sugar added section for deserts and you have several options which were not bad. I was very disappointed with the coffee shop because the deserts were always complimentary regardless if you need to purchase a drink or not. I was on this ship in November and it was free and now it's not. The breakfast at the Trellis was really good. The breakfast in the buffet was the usual stuff and as always the omelet station was super packed. We were very pleased with our inside cabin. Normally it would a real tiny cabin where we would easily run out of space but this cabin was really big and we got a corner cabin so it was even bigger. We loved it. Housekeeping was great they always do a great job, however my pillows did have boot marks on them and I couldn't find the attendant so we had to wait for the next day to get that changed. Also there was a very horrible smell throughout the lower decks of the ship which is always tough to breath that in. We loved our time in the solarium it's just so relaxing in there and that pool was so great. Loved that not too many people went in at night. The comedian was great we got to see him twice and he was great, original and kept it real the whole time. Love the fact that the casino is smoke free verses other cruise lines. This ship is not for bigger kids or teens. The camp on board is really for babies. The only thing that teens and bigger kids can do is play basketball and go in the pool. The camp that they do have for the older kids is extremely tiny so the kids actually don't even want to bother going there. The arcade is a joke. There's about 4 games that are from the 70's. This ship does not cater to kids it definitely caters to a much older crowd. All in all it was a great experience. I look forward to going back on with Celebrity on the OTHER ships and won't go back on the Infinity unless it gets revamped like the Summit is. Read Less

There are plenty of bars to choose from - 4 at the pool area alone. The service was good and fast. We didn't buy the drink package, so our beer and mixed drinks were 7-$10 each. We don't drink enough to make the drink package worth while. The only thing worth mentioning is that the ship needs an update. It looks like it came out of the 80's - but it didn't affect anything - the service and accommodations were good. Read Less

We were on the Infinity from the 5th to the 10th. The ship is showing her age, but is a really great ship. The crew were incredible, so friendly and helpful. This cruise just reinforces why Celebrity is our favorite cruise line. Our room was a midship balcony, it was quiet peaceful and had that luxurious view that is so great. They had 2 comedians and both were really funny and appropriate for all ages. We didn't see the shows but I heard they were great. For the first time ever I walked out of the Casino with more money that I went in with. The drinks were plentiful and we never waited long to get them. The bartenders were always very accommodating and friendly. Getting on the ship took no more than 30 minutes, and getting off of the ship took even less time. Celebrity has this down to a science. This was our 10th Celebrity cruise and 22nd overall. Both my wife and I thought this was one of our best trips. The ship is in excellent condition and while it is a few years old, no one would be the wiser. The staff where all great and went out of their way to say hello and provide great service. The food in the main dinning room did not disappoint. It was always cooked to order and very good. At breakfast, we tried the Elite offering in the Tuscan grill, it was good but nothing exceptional. We also ordered room service once, very good and as we asked. Breakfast in the main dinning room was by far the best. Tuscan Grill- Here is a different story. After paying $55/pp we were expecting an excellent dinning experience. I am sad to report we didn't care for the food or the lack of service. The restaurant was busy that day and probably understaffed for the number of guest. However, the smaller tables deserve the same service as the larger tables. At one point after waiting 45min for a glass of wine, I had to leave and get one on my own in the bar on the 4th floor. If this happened (it never did) in the main dinning room, it wouldn't have been an issue. But when you are paying a premium for dinner it should never happen. All in all, I would save your money and try Qsine or Sushi on 5. Unfortunetly, they did away with Bistro on 5, it was excellent for the value. Gym- Excellent with free waits up to 50lbs and lots of cardio machines. Drink package- it was my first time with a package, it was good but impossible to get your moneys worth even with bottle water, coffee and drinks. They know what they're doing and know the price is a money maker. It was nice not to have to sign and worry about each drink, so I would consider it again. Ports- Key West was nice and very upscale. We shopped and went to Willie T's. Great place to eat and people watch. Cozumel- We went to Mr. Sancho's on our own. We paid $55/pp for an AI all day. The food was great and the beach and facilities very nice. It was a bit crowded for me as there were 7 ships in port. I would return or do something less crowded. Sea days- There were plenty of chairs and sun for everyone. At the aft of the ship on deck 11 there is a very cool outdoor cinema and lots of covered lounging. It is a very comfortable place to hangout for the day. Entertainment- We did not attend any fo the produced shows. I guess I have been on my share of cruises and have seen enough productions. We did however follow the acoustic singer Nikki throughout the week. She was really great and we enjoyed listening to her. Final thoughts: We were glad to back on Celebrity, they seem to go a bit above the others in terms of service and effort. We loved the Infinity and would go on her again. Read Less

Wanted to try a holiday cruise so we chose New Year's Eve cruise to celebrate the holidays. 3rd time on Celebrity. The ship is older and refurb is needed but the ship is well maintained and the service and staff are very good. The entertainment on board was just ok the only show I would recommend is iBroadway it was well done. If you haven't seen Sean I would recommend him as well it was upbeat and light hearted we saw him on the Solstice about 2 years ago and the show was actually the same so we were a little disappointed with that. The casino is very small but I love the No Smoking it was wonderful. I play table games so I was set but if you like slots you will find a very old and not exciting section for slot action. Eating in Qsine was nice but they changed our NYE reservations without notice so that was super disappointing and frustrating our NYE celebration was the main reason for the trip so a monkey wrench out the gate was Not welcome. Tuscan was wonderful, Blu was actually nothing special but the service was outstanding. We had a good time overall Read Less

My husband and I took our first cruise ever to celebrate our 20th anniversary on Celebrity's Infinity. We were extremely pleased with our trip. We upgraded to Concierge Class (Room 8060) and thought it was spacious for a cruise ship and loved the balcony. We liked being able to dine in the Trellis Restuarant when we first boarded and by the time we finished our meal, our room was ready. Our stateroom attendant was attentive and prompt. The outside deck area was kept clean by the staff but you had to get outside early to get a lounge chair. Deck 12 was our favorite space on the ship to lounge in the cabanas and take in the views. We liked the number of choices offered at the buffet but found Trellis to be unimpressive. We did pay to dine at Qsine and it did not disappoint- it was a fun dining experience! The schedule provided a lot of options and we enjoyed the music and comedy shows. We scheduled a message at Canyon Ranch Spa and enjoyed the services. This ship was perfect for us seeking a getaway without kids. The ship does not have a lot to offer for families with small kids or even teens but perfect for couples seeking a quiet get vacation. Pros: I love Celebrity cruise lines. Clean and well-maintained ships, superb service, great food, and a no smoking casino. Cons: (on my recent Infinity cruise): Limited music venues. This is the first cruise I have been on in quite a while I was disappointed in the live band and music choices. Very limited variety, no piano bar, not oldies music at all! Made for somewhat of a boring and disappointing cruise, to be honest. On my previous 2 cruises (Carnival), Awesome live band playing 60s and 70s music, but they often played in the casino which was so smoke filled my wife couldn't even bear to walk by it, let alone sit and listen to the band or dance. Also our specialty dining experience in the Tuscan Restaurant was a complete disappointment. Paper thin steaks, bland sides, and extremely slow service. Next time we will pass on the Tuscan Restaurant. A $90 we would love to have back. Read Less

The Infinity is a nice ship and the staff is wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone. It is my understanding they are remodeling it within the next two years although I'm not sure it really needs any updating. From the buffet to the specialty restaurants, the service was constantly excellent. We had two staterooms, a suite for the first part then aqua class for the second. For suite guest, you get to eat in an awesome restaurant called Luminae. It is fantastic. I can't speak high enough of the food and service. For Aqua you get to eat in another specialty type restaurant called Blu. I now understand the debates on which one is better. I can honestly say both for an amazing experience and you really can't go wrong with either. The fast speed internet is a nice change from other cruise lines. It is so fast you can easily stream apps like Hulu, Netflix, etc.. The entertainment was really good and not cheesy like other other lines. I will say if you have the opportunity for the suite experience just one time in your life on Celebrity it is worth the money and is just such a nice treat. Our Butler Arnish was so great. Just know whatever stateroom you pick, you'll be happy on this ship. The coffee shop was so much better than the chains. We went there every day. Also great service. We already have another Celebrity cruise booked and will most likely be booking more after that. After being on several of the others it is worth paying a little more for the treatment you get on Celebrity. Read Less

We disembarked from Ft. Lauderdale. If you're there early, Las Olas beach is the place to go! A lot of fun and a great beach. Hollywood beach is pretty great too! Our disembarkation was very smooth and seamless. The ship was beautiful and in good repair. Those people who say its not must really be looking for something because its super clean, well lit, and looks great. Our Cabin and attendant (Seby) were great, we had a veranda and having the patio was very nice to have! Dining was SO GOOD! Check out Qsine if you're looking to upgrade a meal for a night, the entertainment is AWESOME! Our servers in the main dining were so attentive, helpful, friendly, and fun! The food we had was absolutely delicious and it was fun exploring outside of our comfort zones! The entertainment was alright, the shows were okay. It was a good way to pass the time. I think I went in expecting too much though. The theater is beautiful! If you're looking for something to do, one of our favorite things to do was at the very top and back of the boat... GO early and grab a little cabana, snuggle up with your SO, and watch a movie! Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cozumel was great, the people are super friendly! Key West was okay... our snorkel got cancelled. We rented an electric golf cart for the day and drove EVERYWHERE to explore. That made it more fun for sure! OVERALL: We would absolutely go again! Booked our next one on the ship, WE CANT WAIT! This was our first 5 day cruise - it was much easier to fit into our busy work schedule and we had a blast! We thoroughly enjoyed the not-huge size of the ship, and the fellow passengers (few children and no crazy party people). The time of year was handy; it fit into our schedule. It’s wonderful to visit hit places when it’s cold and snowy at home. Also, we made friends on this cruise. We have not done this before. We plan to cruise together next year. We have already been communicating with them. We did no excursions. We very happily remained on the ship and enjoyed what is had to offer. The only small concern was that there were no enrichment activities. We enjoy them. Also, portrait photos were not taken very often. That can be improved in. I always love my cruise photos and portraits! They are always great. Read Less

We decided to take this cruise about 6 weeks prior to its sailing. We are a retired couple, living in Florida and it seemed like a good “break in routine” for this time of year. It was a 4 night cruise with stops in Key West and Nassau. This was our 53rd overall cruise and 12th with Celebrity – we have Elite status with Celebrity and started cruising with them in the mid 1980's on the Meridian. The Infinity is a Millennium class ship and the smallest Celebrity sails these days. We have sailed on her before as well as the Millennium and the Constellation. They are all very similar in layout and amenities. We drive to Port Everglades – about a 70 minute drive for us – we park at Park N Fly as it is very convenient to the port and they provide transportation to and from the terminal. Embarkation had already started when we arrived and was very easy and quick. I had checked in on line and that speeds up the process as well. We were on the ship about 12:30pm – cabins were not to be ready for about an hour so we went to Sushi on 5 and had lunch. The menu there is an ala carte menu and was delicious. By the time we were finished the announcement that cabins were ready had been done. Our cabin was an outside cabin on Deck 3 – 3099 – we were close the the Guest relations desk and the main lobby and the mid-ship elevators. This makes getting around the ship easier for us. It was a great location, quiet and the cabin was spacious enough for us with plenty of storage for a 4 night cruise. The bed was very comfortable and our cabin steward went out of his was to be sure we had the pillows we needed. Our luggage had not been delivered so we unpacked our carry on and went up on Deck 4 and outside for awhile. The Muster Drill was being held at 3:15pm – so we went to our muster station which was in Michaels Club – with Celebrity you don't have to bring your life-jackets and you don't have to line up on deck. The drill was concluded and by then our luggage had been delivered so we went down to unpack. The bathroom, while small, had a big shower and was quite adequate. We ended up at the Rendezvous Lounge for the sail away which took place around 5pm – there were 2 other ships in port and they left first. We had chosen Celebrity Select Dining which means one can eat at anytime from 5:45pm to 9:30pm in the Trellis dining room. I had made a reservation when we came on board for 8pm. We were seated right away at a table for two. Each morning I called for a reservation. We always ate between 8 and 8:30pm – the food was excellent as was the service. Since we are Elite with Celebrity, there is a morning continental breakfast served for us in the Tuscan Grill – very conveniently located for us on Deck 3. The menu contains pastry, smoked meats and salmon and cheeses as well as fruit and a variety of coffees, teas, fruit juices and Bloody Marys, Bellinis, Screwdrivers. We had breakfast thee most mornings and one morning we ate in the main dining room and then went to the Tuscan Grill for coffee and pastry. A very nice perk in our opinion. Another perk is a cocktail hour from 5-7pm either in the Constellation Lounge atop the ship or at any bar on board – one can have 3 drinks from a very nice Bar menu of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. On port days the dining room did not serve lunch so we ate at either the buffet, grill or spa cafe. We prefer not to go to the buffet during peak hours as my husband has some balance and walking issues and it is hard for him to navigate it. The food from all of these venues was very good with a lot of choice. On the one sea day we went to the main dining room for lunch but didn't find anything we particularly wanted to eat so went to the grill. It was nice having two port days and one sea day as on the port days most passengers were off the ship and one could easily find an outdoor place to sit – even on the sea day though we did not have a really hard time finding a place to sit and read and watch people outside. The weather was good – if a bit cloudy one day – and we spent a lot of time outside. Our favorite place was in the Spa pool area which is domed and has a wonderful pool and a Spa Cafe. The main pool area was great for us on port days but was “jumpin” on the sea day and we avoided it that day - I cannot speak to the entertainment on the ship as we had good intentions, but never made it – we don't gamble so the casino holds no interest for us. The officers and crew were very nice and visible during the cruise. There were a number of “meet and greet” times with the Captain and his officers. We also enjoyed the area around the Cafe al Bacio – great coffee and tea drinks, gelato, and the pastry is gratis – There are a number of alternative restaurants – Sushi on Five, Quisine and Le Petit Chef, and the Tuscan Grill – all of these have a cover charge or an ala carte charge. We don't go simply because, for us, there is too much food at one time. The menus did look inviting though and we heard good things about the food. There is also a special restaurant for Suite class guests called Luminae, and one for Aqua class guests called Blu. And, of course there is a grill on the pool deck, an ice cream bar in the buffet as well as pizza and pasta bars along with the usual buffet food. All in all, it was a great cruise for us – it seems that 4 or 5 night cruises are the best number of days now for us. Debarkation was very good – another Elite perk is a special waiting place (Tuscan Grill) to get off the ship with an abbreviated continental breakfast served. We were scheduled for 8:25 and actually got off at 8:15. It was quick and easy. Celebrity does very few announcements during a cruise and even on debarkation day. The Captain's Club hostess kept us informed of which numbers were getting off when – there was no immigration form to fill out for those of us who bought nothing. We were home by 10:30am and ready to pick up our dog who was VERY glad to see us - If you have any questions about this cruise, I have kept the Celebrity Today info. It had been a few years since we sailed on Celebrity and wanted to try it again. We loved all of our other cruises on this line. This cruise was no exception. Embarkation and debarkation were a breeze, even with a Coast Guard inspection the day of sailing. We realize that the ship is older, but she is well maintained. We loved the intimate atmosphere and how easy it was to get around. We were in Aqua class room 1113. The room was clean and our stateroom attendant was great! There was a slight musty smell in the bathroom, but I think it's just from age and didn't affect us at all. We really enjoyed eating in Blu. The food was just a step above amazing and the service was fabulous. Also, we enjoyed the use of the Persian Garden a couple of times during the cruise and there was never anyone in there. I highly recommend getting Aqua Class. It is well worth it. I enjoyed some of the live bands and artists that were on the ship. It was more of a hit or miss thing with that, but since many lines don't utilize live music anymore, I will not complain! We did not attend any shows and I don't know why. We just never got around to it, As far as the ports went, we love Key West and always enjoy our time there. In fact, it is my favorite port. We never leave this ship in the Bahamas because we have been there so many times and there is nothing for us there. This was our 4th time on a Millennium class ship and will be doing it again next year. It was a great getaway with no stress! Read Less
