As a solo cruiser and my first cruise, I really enjoyed this cruise overall. It was easy to meet other people and to do activities with them. Every dinner, for evening activities and for island shore excursions, I had dining companions, conversation and company for activities. Lots to do each day......not a problem for a solo cruiser. I happened to walk into the Cruise specialist TA and ask if there were any good deals around for a cruise out of Sydney. A balcony room for 2 people for 11 nights at a total cost of $2,300 seemed like a good deal, so I accepted.
Embarkation worked well. We were on the 12 - 12:30pm check-in and onboard about 12:45pm.

We chose this cruise for its price the line had some specials going and as we are now pensioners price is paramount. We had not cruised with Carnival before but had cruised with little sister P&O and two of Royal Carribean. Firstly, as I was traveling Solo and paid the Single supplement for an internal room, I was surprised & pleased to be upgraded to a balcony!

As a Middle aged Man that is a Farmer, I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed with the number of people everywhere.
